i would like to start a new game with these cheats enabled can any one tell me how to do that??

Start a new game and save after you get the safehouse. Now load up the cheat device before reloading your new save et voila...

There will probobly be no difference with the UK and EU release... Dont know about the AU and JAP.

 

Is there a sparrow chopper in the game?

It was in Vice City so it should be in LCS too

Edison Carter, would it be possible to use your device to make it so you never lose weapons when busted or wasted?

Or possibly hold all weapons at once?

 

 

Can you spawn the Sicilian car or is that just a normal stinger?

I added Display Coordinates in version 0.1d. If you downloaded the UK 0.1d earlier and it doesn't have it, download it again now.

 

This will allow us to start finding where mission interiors and maybe cutscenes are located.

 

If you do a mission where you're sent to an interior, like the one where you chase the guy around the sawmill and try to sneak up on him, or the one inside the ship, write down the coordinates and post them! Try to name them in a non-spoiler way, describing the place but not what you do there. Ship's Hold or Inside Ship, for instance.

 

Also, watch the coordinates during cut scenes and see if it tells where they are and post the coordinates.

It crashes cause alot of things but this is just the beginning, after edison carter releases more updates of the cheat device, the more he will fix these problems ......he already states some things that make the game crash...

It crashes if you start a new game while it's running. I believe that and certain vehicle spawns should be the only times it should be crashing anymore.

 

To use it with a new game, you'll need to start a new game, do the first mission, save it, load CheatDevice, then load your save. BTW, while you're on the first mission, you can't get a wanted star.

the uk version edison it get stuck during loading right at the very beginning then the seconed time i load it it works but no meny what so ever is there someway to fix this?

does this have something to do wth it saying encrypted data when i save it to my psp cos i say yes to all

please is there a solution to this problem and no i didnt save the game i just used the menu button to quit the game this morning when it was working but not nothing i really need a fix for this

Well, if it was working before then maybe a reset will help. Hold the power button for 10 seconds and try again.

 

I'm thinking of doing a walk through walls next, but this time it'll be a little different. You'll go up to the wall facing it, and then use a Step Through Wall command to step through it.

 

No, I'm not working on 2.6 right now. I'm tired of working on loader and firmware issues all the time and I want to get on with making cheats! I don't feel like buying yet another PSP for 2.6. I need the one I just bought to be able to still test 2.5.

Download the latest version and install it again. And you didn't say what firmware version you have.

 

Everybody, if you have issues, be sure to say what version of CheatDevice, what country, and what firmware version you have.

Has any one in the UK got the second version (with coordinates) working. The one I had working this morning was great.

I downloaded the second version and it just says "corrupted Data" for that file and fails to load. I downloaded a second time. Had the PSP on and fully off a few times. I put my original save and the uk version 1 back on and they both worked fine, but this new version is giving me problems.

 

I still think this might just be me.

 

 

I love the idea of "coordinates" and "step thru walls" - I think you know why.

This might have been asked before - any hidden costumes?

yeah i have also tried editing it to work with 2.6 i had two of my computers working on decrypting the data.bin file but as a result the final file ended up being 70percent corrupt and i would like to make the point that as 2.5 dosent run homebrew and neither does 2.6 most people with 2.5 will have upgraded to 2.6 for the extra features

 

so please could you make a 2.6 version

Can you not Upgrade a Old PSP to 2.60??

or perhaps you could just release the method you used to adapt it to work with 2.5 and then someone else could modify it for 2.6

he spent well over £450 of his own money on 2 psp's and 2 gta's and you still complain

 

if he updates he will not be able to make 2.5 versions or 2.0 version and there are more 2.0 then 2.6 if you want it so bad give him a psp with 2.6

ok i think ive worked a bug edison i managed to get it to work but for some reason it onley workes once so if you crash the game you gotta get a new save file cos for me i loaded it but crashed it cos i pressed the wrong button now the menu doesnt some up in fact the game just shuts my psp down afterwards and when i put the save on my psp i keep getting the message that :encrypted$data: may be lost is there a way to solve the problem?

edison, the co-ords update work perfect on mine... Would it be possible to add the ability to set the co-ords and then we would have a teleport cheat... You could use the same method as when you set the PSP time or Infrastructure IP addresses (select on and then up and down on D-Pad)...

I've only made it through a few of the Shoreside Vale missions yet, so I don't know all the interesting points there. I'm at the mission where Donald Love is at his new place of residence and wants me to do something I really don't want to do (being a big fan of Vice City and all).

MPORTANT NOTE for all users with firmware 2.5:

It looks like CheatDevice is crashing if it autoloads during the game bootup on firmware 2.5. If you have firmware 2.5, you'll need to boot the game by having a more recent save on the card so it loads that first, or with the memory card out so it starts a new game. The US version may load without crashing but then the menu won't come up, and still won't come up until you restart the game.

could some1 tell me why when i copy the file to the psp it comes up that i might lose the file :enchription$data: cos i think its a valuable thing for the cheat device and it seems that after the cheat device is used the game gets stuck loading the file in the when starting it up again

Then people with 2.5 and below would be sh*t out of luck. (besides, i dont think 2.6 was even released when he started working on this.)

 

Im not upgrading my 2.0 just to get a few extra features i could really care less about.

 

And if you keep repeating the same "request" over and over again, its more like "harassment", which is more like "complaining".

 

Why cant people be more patient.

Even if i did upgrade my psp regularly, i still think id give it a few weeks after the update is released before i put it on my system.

 

If EC got stuck updating his cheat device to every single psp update, hed never get to work on adding new cheats.

I would rather wait, then get a cheat device with plenty of cheats implemented, rather than get it the first day and only have like 3 cheats to choose from.

 

Give the man some time to work.

 

 

 

 

@Edisoncarter, if you ever decide to make one for 2.6, you should do it AFTER youve got as much as you think you can out of the game, then port the whole thing over, that way you can work on the actual cheats part first, then worry about the version.
