I'm buying a new PSP to upgrade to 2.5 (poor thing).  It's on its way.  I don't want to upgrade one of the ones I have in case the new one comes with 2.01 or higher already on it.  Of course I still need to have a 2.0 PSP to be able to do stuff.  Don't worry about the donations, I've got it covered.  Shame on the people saying just upgrade to 2.5 and screw the 2.0 people.

 

I had a couple testers check a test program on the UK version to see how different it is, and it was different enough that it would be too involved to do it through a remote person.  A copy of the UK version is already on its way from Hong Kong.

 

I would like to make a mission select mod, but the mission script language has some changes and there isn't a 0417 start_mission code in the script code that starts the R3 missions.  I may need to post a question for some help from the mission script experts.

 

What I meant when I said not to use this for missions is that you wouldn't want to use this when you're doing the missions and planning to save your game.  You know, when you're playing through it the first time.  It's perfectly fine to play missions with it, I just wouldn't use it if you're doing missions to make progress in the game and then save, because I'm not sure if you could end up having some unknown side effect get stuck in your save that you can't get rid of.

Edison I when I proposed my idea... I didnt mean for you to upgrade the one you currently got now into a 2.5.... I ment the new one you get you should upgrade to 2.6 instead... you should keep the fm2.0 psp, and the other one just keep an up to date firm ware psplike a 2.7 and update when it updates... because they may make some really cool features that people would like to try... we all cant affor a second psp... thanks for taking the time to read....

totally, and think about it, eventually there'll probly be a "must have game" like LCS that would require the most up to date fw, and at that point, alot of people would upgrade to that required version.

Hye since LCS is using the same engine as Vice City woukld it be possible to put the cars from VC on there?

Probably won't be able to add new cars until a method of running the entire game from memory card is found. Not possible right now.

Unless you know of an ISO loader that can run off of the 2.0 firmware then no, an ISO loader is not the answer.

He removed the L+LEFT thing showing a bunch of text, and he fixed the loading bug.

 

You can load the save as many times as you want, and it wont crashz0r.

That may be so but i may have a solution to the no trottle on the dodo: Take it to the sea i think it may have the seaplane handling but you may have did this. In which case this is a waste of my time. sad.gif

I got the new PSP and upgraded it to 2.5. It was kinda sad...

 

It turns out all it needed was for the syscalls to be fixed up. This version fixes them up dynamically, so it should be firmware version independent now. Someone needs to test it on 2.6 to make sure.

 

This version also adds SNOW and other weather choices.

 

US/Canada version for fw 2.0, 2.01, 2.5 and probably 2.6:

I feel a little stupid now because it turns out all I needed to do was fixup the syscalls. Anyway, here's the version some of you have been not-so-patiently waiting for. It should be firmware independent now. Someone needs to test it on 2.6 to make sure.

Hey edison i dont mean to sound pushy but when u get the EU PSP how quickly do you think you'll get the CheatDevice to work cause this is like torture watching all of you wreak the benifits of this awsome feat.
