DVD-Rs work on all drives, and certain brands of CD-RW also work. Not every Samsung drive reads CD-Rs as far as I know. And you can just softmod instead of installing a modchip. And you can just softmod instead of installing a modchip. the model thats in the V 1.5 and V 1.4's do. i know that much. i saw one in a V 1.6 that didnt do sh*t which surprised me because they are supposed to have the Hitatchi or whatever it is. havent dealt with too many 1.6s by choice. I need to find a bios that will let me run the slayers disk (in other words let me run insigned code). PM me a bios that will do this, if you know of one. Xecuter 2.6Lite is what I have.
