Real Gangster no. 14
Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to take an ordinary WMV clip, edit it into a DVD player readable format, copying it to a DVD RW and then watching it on a DVD player. Could someone please explain how to copy it to a DVD, how to convert it to a filetype that will work on a portable DVD player and any links or information about software i would need. Thanks in advance.
fox09
I'm not sure on the exact process, but the only thing that comes to mind is DivX. But, I don't know if a DVD player can play those...
Wolf68k
You need a DVD authoring program like; Adobe Encore DVD or Ulead DVD MovieFactory But you can check out some guides at videdohelp.com on how to convert WMV to DVD, might even be a guide that shows how to do it with completely free tools If you're DVD player can play MPEG files, you can just convert it do an MPEG file and burn it with other things as a data disc.
