cjohnson42011 Posted November 16, 2005 Share Posted November 16, 2005 (edited) ive been playing this game for months, and have had my share of challenges with some tough missions.. but it has been fun (til now). Currently I am FINALLY at the END OF THE LINE mission. However, before I can do it I have to go and take over gangs. No problem right? This has been done before in other missions, but this time something is dramatically DIFFERENT! The city is in MAYHEM! people are running around all over the place and some of them shooting, cars are driving by and exploding automatically, and COPS are EVERYWHERE! Is is supposed to be like that? So I hooked up my gang strength, but cant seem to take over ANY gangs without COPS showing up soon after any shots are fired. Before long I am up to 3 stars and DEAD! Please help! I AM ABOUT READY TO GIVE UP! NOTE: NO cheat codes have been activated to make the crowd aggressive, did I do something else wrong? You didn't do anything wrong, you simply got caught in a "trap" by the storyline; the Riots are a part of the storyline that are supposed to happen. Unfortunately, they make gang wars very tough and the game gives you little or no warning beforehand that you will need to do gang wars to complete the storyline. This is one case where a little spoiler foreknowledge is almost necessary. Anyhow, you may find some tips in the Gang territory guide linked above the forum (http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=157489). Otherwise, if you have a save from just before the "Riot" mission, your best option may be to simply reload to there, take over the necessary territories in normal conditions, and then redo the handful of missions from Riot through End of the Line. GnR-NoD Posted November 17, 2005 Share Posted November 17, 2005 actually its much simpler just kill 3 gang member who own the territory and then if cops get in your way kill them no star will appear as long you are in a gang war once started you can kill as many cops as liked and your star level will continue as before most probably in a 1 star couse of the initial shooting to start the war piece of cake aint it? DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH...so i had to go back AGAIN!! got it finally! I reached the END OF THE LINE, end of the missions. It was a great experience and I would do it all over again. Thanks for the tips. In gangwars I always run as far away as possible from the gang but still stay in the hood and then use the sniperrifle and blow their heads off. That worked out best for me.
