--Cole--
There's so many TC's out there, isn't it time they got their own sections under GTA Modding - Editing Discussion/Mod Showroom? They keep filling up the mapping and misc sections, and there's enough TC's to warrant their own sections. So how about it? Is there any reason not to? Confusion
Well the TC's fall into different sections anyway. Some are converting the missions, some are coverting the map. It might be a good idea though, it can sometimes get a bit cluttered
Justin
I'm not sure, but if the total conversion isn't hosted/endorsed/whatever by GTANet, there may be some sort of copyright or ethical reason why new forums aren't made solely for individual mods. You'll notice that there's already a hosted mods section, which encompasses individual mods, but they're all hosted by GTANet.
Demarest
There's so many TC's out there, isn't it time they got their own sections under GTA Modding - Editing Discussion/Mod Showroom? They do. It just takes time, size, and accomplishment to show that that is in fact the case. I don't know anybody who's tasted modding and didn't have IDEAS for a TC. Doesn't mean they have what it takes to see it through. So it's a discerning process and one that shouldn't leave the others feeling inadequate. If whatever project you're pulling for is for real, perhaps petition staff for inclusion.
--Cole--
Well actually I didn't mean like the GTA:LC Forum, I meant like a subforum for ALL the TC's. Like the Mission Mods subforum in the showroom. I was asking about adding two new subforums, one under editing discussion, and another under the showroom. Each TC doesn't need (or sometimes deserve) it's own individual forum, but they at least need a collective forum.
GT-1
Individual topics have survived on their own when posted in individual sections (i.e Mod Showroom --> Maps, Mod Showroom --> Vehicles). In my opinion there are not enough true Total Conversions out there to make a new category worthwhile. Take a look at the Mod Showroom's, you don't get that many posts per day. In short the Mod Showrooms individually are not very active, adding a new one would decrease this further. I've seen a fair few total conversions in my time here, most have a topic in the Mod Showroom --> Maps because that’s the basis of their Total Conversion. If you want a category to place all your WIP/REL then post it in the Mod Showroom --> Miscellaneous.
--Cole--
So what's going to happen then? Are we going to see new TC discussion and showroom areas?
SeaNorris.
I don't think its a very good idea considering if you change missions, cars, maps, weapons and stuff it would go in Misc. and most people seem to use Maps for their TC's
