Confusion
Well, first of all get a good idea of what you want. I'd try to take some tutorials, possibly off of www.good-tutorials.com Until then, I'd maybe make a request and experiment
SWEETSAPRIK
If you want someone to make one for you then you should post in GFX requests & tutorials, if that's the case you could report your post and ask them to move it, or report your post and ask for a lock, then make a new thread there. If you want someone to explain how to make a sig then you should be more specific. There are different kinds of sigs. Making one that uses transparency is different than making one with animation. The simplest way is to find and image on google, resize or crop it to fit the limits, and then apply your username using a font that sort of matches. A border wouldn't hurt either. Not original, and doesn't really require any skill, but it'll do in a pinch. If all you have is paint then your options will be limited. You could buy a graphics program like Photoshop, or download one of the few free ones. Personally I use GIMP. GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program Some free font sites. Acid fonts - Download free fonts and Dingbats Download Fonts - 1001 Free Fonts Download Free Fonts @ 1001 Fonts .com Download free fonts and dingbats for Windows and Mac - Font Freak Free Fonts search and download Absolute Fonts Archive 6,800+ Free True Type Fonts Famous Fonts @ SMACKBOMB.COM -- Free fonts for download! Download fonts | dafont.com GoldenWeb.it - Free True Type Fonts Search Free Fonts - over 7000 free fonts available for download Image hosts. Photobucket.com forumsigs.com MediaUpload.net imageshack.us Keep in mind that the sig limits are 500x150 and 80kb, and that sigs over the limit will get disabled. If you go over you'll get either a message or the green line around your sig will turn red. Good luck. PяopagaиdaIиc.
gta_player5
I know to make a sig it doesnt require photo shop but is that a vital ingredient in the creation of one? im askin because i dont have photo shop, the closest thing i have is HP Image Zone Plus and your regular ol' paint program. SWEETSAPRIK
@AbbaZabba There aren't many GIMP tutorials out there. Trying to take a tut written for a program like Photoshop and getting similar results in GIMP can be difficult. Not only are some of the tools absent, but even the ones that are there sometimes work differently. If you were going to find tuts for GIMP then a place that specializes in GIMP would be your best bet. Like here. But I've actually found looking at stock .PSD files from Deviantart much more helpful than any tut I've read. As for the fonts, if you installed them properly they should show up, assuming that they're TTF, some other types of font file don't work. I've always had the fonts I've added show the next time I run GIMP, so I can't think of why they wouldn't. You could try uninstalling and then reinstalling, since the first time GIMP runs it finds all the fonts in your windows/fonts directory automatically. @gta_player5 Again, it depends on what you want. Some people like certain styles, others just want a specific image cropped to fit. There is no one "vital ingredient" you just have to make something you like. PяopagaиdaIиc.
