erickoegle
I just got GTA:SA a few days ago. I installed it perfectly fine, and went and loaded up a new game. I played for about 10 minutes then the game completely locked up on me. I could not even alt-tab to get to the desktop nor could I even ctrl-alt-del to bring up task manager. I have to cold shut down the computer (reboot). I sent an email to GTA's help center with my dxdiag and msinfo logs. Im running: Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: GBT___ System Model: AWRDACPI BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG Processor: AMD Athlon XP 1500+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.3GHz Memory: 512MB RAM Page File: 299MB used, 950MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.2180 32bit Unicode DirectX Files Tab: No problems found. So I did and it ran fine for about 30 minutes or so then locked up again. When I rebooted, I again loaded up GTA:SA and every time I get to the title screen (with the options to start game or go to options) the game locks up. I've tried just about everything. The game is a retail verison second edition. I've reintalled multiple times all with the same result. Can anyone help me?
