BulletProofPatriot
As I'd assume you guessed from the topic title, whenever I seem to run full screen applications, I can play them, but at random times they'll freeze. It can be from 5 minutes in, to about an hour in. It isn't much of a problem, but it annoys me when I'm playing San Andreas or whatever. I recently formatted my machine (Less than 24 hours ago, in fact) because I was ridden with spyware and the like. I used to have the freezing problem throughout this computer's life, which is probably 3 years now (Built by me and my Dad). Here is the specs: OS: Windows XP Professional w/ Service Pack 2 w/ Advanced Security Updates. Intel Celeron something, 1.99Ghz. 512MB RAM 120GB HD IDE Radeon 9550 256MB If you need more info than that, just say. Cheers
Dup
Either something has some really sh*tty drivers, a conflict with anothr device on the PC or its overheating. Unplug any device that needs a device driver and see if it works then. then add bits back as you go and see whats what. Other wise, open up the case and let i breathe and see what happens then. Knightmare
Is it always at a random time? I want to say drivers but if it's random I don't see how it could be. I'd try upgrading nonetheless, and try opening the case and keeping it cool as well, see if that helps. Thanks -shaDow
BulletProofPatriot
Overheating can do this? Yeah, I have a Factor Form Shuttle case, and it does get f*cking hot in there. I've been looking at more fans etc for quite a while now. A while ago I took one side of the case off, but it still does the same thing. Yeah, it is random times. I think I may get some CPU fans, but being a small case, its going to be fiddly.
