flitcroft101
My ps2 had that error 2 weeks after I got San Andreas, I was pissed off but there is no way in the world I will even try to get money from Sony. I also recieved this email. IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE FROM PLAYSTATION Recently, an announcement was made by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe regarding a possible safety concern with certain AC Power Adaptors. These affected AC Power Adaptors were manufactured between August and December 2004 and supplied with the new slimline PlayStation 2. They were identified as having the potential to overheat and cause an injury hazard. As you would expect from Sony PlayStation, the quality and reliability of our products is of great importance and we regard the potential of this issue to be a serious concern. This is why we immediately issued a safety recall for all affected AC Power Adaptors and is the reason we are writing to you today. If you do own a black slimline PlayStation 2, please visit our recall website http://www.ps2ac.com/welcome.asp?redirect=ps2_em You will be taken through a step by step guide to check whether you have an AC Power Adaptor that might be affected and a new AC Power Adaptor will be supplied to you completely free of charge. Please don't ignore this mail. Although we recently printed safety notices in the national press, it is possible that you may not have seen them and have continued to enjoy using your slimline black PlayStation 2 as normal. We would like to take the opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for taking the time to read this important safety message. Yours sincerely, Sony PlayStation 'Please do not reply directly to this mail as it is sent from an automated email server and replies to this address may not be read.' My slimline is fine though
SIP YEK NOD
Xbox fans don't give up, do they? F*ck off fanboy, this has nothing to do with the X-box, or X-box fans @lawsuit: it seems the only people who stand to make any money off of this are the lawyers. to qualify for any small reward, your ps2 has to be less than 13 months old and has to be a certain model number. even then you stand to make either $25 for replace of game, a new game, or $41 for repair or replacement of the ps2. while the lawyers for the class get between $700,000 and 1.5 mil
Sharkey
crap sip. one of my ps2s just died last week. the tray opens but nothing will play, and only a couple months after the 2 year warranty was up. its also the third one ive had, equaling the 3 ps1s i have because they kept breaking or would only play on their side. im buying a ps3, probably one of the early ones but ill be getting at least a 2 year warranty. ive learned from sonys mistakes...
