Platinum Card
I'm going with Lil Wayne on this one. His style changed when he did the Carter. I consider one of the best rappers out right now. I also think he's a better lyricist then 50.
OH NO
I dont even know who little wayne is, but my god does he have a stupid name or what eh? As for being a better lyricist than 50, well, you know the rest. I dont even know why I replied here, probably to say that they are both gay. Bizzare
Who is better, MF Doom or Jedi Mind Tricks. Or MF Doom or Aesop Rock, or whoever thats actually good. I learned a lesson that just because everyone on this forum praises artists that havent yet reached mainstream like JMT really doesnt mean they're good..at all. I must of dl'ed about 15 of their songs and could only stomach 'I agaisnt I'. That being said Fat Dave and the NY streetsweepers are the hottest thing to come out of Alaska. I must of dl'ed about 15 of their songs Warez. and could only stomach 'I agaisnt I'. What songs exactly did you illegally aquire? That being said Fat Dave and the NY streetsweepers are the hottest thing to come out of Alaska. Who the f*ck are "fat dave and the NY streetsweepers"? A lot of hate for Bizzare, eh? Anyway, I'm here to back him up, sort of. I'm here to say this: I never heard of no street sweepers or whatever. Also, just because all of you like MF Doom or Danger Doom (I get confused with the names), doesn't mean he has to like them. If he doesn't like them, so what? He doesn't like them, you all don't like 50 Cent. Before you say "he sold out", that has nothing to do with the music he makes. By the way, I'm not a big fan of him myself. I tried listening to some Danger Doom songs, He's good, but I forgot in which sng, he had Shake calling someone or something, which was kind of annoying. Anyway, don't try changing his opinion. But I disagree with him saying "haven't reached mainstream", cause like you said, they aren't going for that. Hey, it isn't like he's saying "Danger Dooms a piece of sh*t, you all suck". He's just stating a good point. If you ask me, you all are acting like the kids at my school. ME:50 Cent can't rap for sh*t, sell outTHEM:Shut up, you don't know nothin, he keep it gangsta. ME:(underground artist) is better THEM:Shut up, they make sh*tty music and thats exactly how you all are acting .
Bizzare
I gotta admit, im laughing, im laughing to the point of urination. My post was an attempt to highlight how people scream about bands that few know about so no one can slate them and of course loving underground is hip right? Now think Lazlow, you too Ray, if either of you have that ability. Aside from the fact bands pick any ole sh*t names nowadays why would a band with New York in the title come from Alaska? Ray I dont hate you for what you said because you misunderstood but dont tell me that JTM wouldnt make millions mainstream if they had the chance. People forget that these people arent just Rappers, they live in houses, they eat food and they drive cars and they receive pay cheques. Now dont tell me that anyone is ever content with what they are or the condition they are in, it is human nature to want. If they could drive anything better than whatever pickup trucks they roll around in to Wal Mart im sure they would....but they cant. Now Lazlow, I can only assume you decided to report my post for obvious reasons, fair enough because I was wrong. However you can get the lemon juice out and spray it on my testicles before you give them a good sucking before you call me a dumbf*ck again for reasons that have no meaning. Oh and who is dumb enough to make 2 paragraphs with two seperate quotes issuing the exact same point? Oh yeah you. Webbie
I haven't read any of this replies in this thread yet because for one there's too many of 'em and secondly because I'll probably get angry reading some opinions in this thread. I just want to put state my opinion. I'm not much of a fan of the whole G-Unit thing, but I do think Lloyd Banks is one of the best to hit the mainstream since probably Eminem, I just don't think he put the right kinda effort into his debut album. Also, I'm not at all a fan of the Cash Money Clique. 50 Cent, I think he's pretty garbage. Lil' Wayne actually has some lyrical abilities and knows more about what he's doing with his rhyme schemes. He has way more multi-syllabic rhymes than 50 as well as way more creative lines. I'd have to go with Lil' Weezy on this one. I'm not really a fan of either, but Lil' Wayne has more lyrical talent to me than 50.
Rayo Puño
EAB, yeah I know what you mean, I fell the same way, I'm not saying you all have to think they're good or anything, I'm just saying I do, and other people say it. It may have been taken a bit out of context when I called him ignorant though, but I wasn't trying to say if you don't like it you're a moron or anything. As for Bizzare, the basic guidelines for making it mainstream and making millions is rapping about bitches, and money, etc, which would be selling out if they were to cahnge into rapping about that. I'm sure they would love the money, but they would rather live with a lower income from their music than to sell out and make millions. It's not like they're poor either, they make some decent money, from tours, albums and sh*t. JMT has sold like 700,000 or so albums to date I belive. I don't know about everyone else but I enjoy Jedi Mind Tricks because their lyrics are more intelligent and what not. They don't rap about the same f*cking thing in every song either. That was my weak argument. Hopefully someone that can explain things better will say something that I want to say about this. P.S: How the f*ck can you relate to Lil Wayne? Bizzare
Just because a rapper goes on about hoes and bitches doesnt mean he's a sell out, it's funny to see these people quote someone with no lyrical talent speaking out about the same stuff everyone else does. Just because Young Jeezy makes the sort of lyrics that belong in my recycle bin because he writes about the sort of stuff that Jay Z or whoever does, doesnt automatically make Jay Z a sell out. I personally dont like J and am aware that he bites more lyrics than Lazlow bites dick. But just because one artist cant make money, hoes and bitches sound decent anymore doesnt make those who can sellouts.
