Smashdamit
6 movies.Hard to believe.I was around 14 when the 1st one came out and spent many Saturdays at the movie house watching Star Wars..over..and over. So here we are.5 movies and zillions of dollars later we are seemingly at the end. Or are we? There is a gap of around 17>19 years between episode 3 and 4. How did Obi Wan reach those highest levels of..um..Forcehood...Forceness?..Yoda said his former master (Liam) had discovered a secret of life and death What about Han?,,where was he during these years? Are we to be content that Joda just lived in the forest of Dagobah and thats all? What about Vader and the Empire?..17 years of consolidating power could have a multitude of storys.... Perhaps just a case of wishful thinking? Edited November 14, 2005 by Smashdamit
Sly_Madman
room, yes. But just because a cow has "room" up his ass doesn't mean you should go sticking your dick in it. Im other words, Lucas has already dragged the series into the ground, 6 is enough.
Smashdamit
lol..I guess you have had enough of the series Not me though.I think it keeps getting better.Mainly due to the special effects capabilities of today. I think Revenge of the Sith is my fav episode...all that light sabre/saber fighting....great stuff. Give me more GL.... I must be on glue because its YODA not JODA
noodles
room, yes. But just because a cow has "room" up his ass doesn't mean you should go sticking your dick in it. Im other words, Lucas has already dragged the series into the ground, 6 is enough. Granted, but the "room" gives you an excuse. I realize how vague I'm being here. I'll let you use your imagination. If you're into the series based on special effects, then it's logical to want more installments, but if you wanted closure in the story then even the prequels weren't needed. Smashdamit
well..special effects wasn't all this series had..but..they are much better today than when the 1st one was made. Yes,I liked how Sith tied up the loose ends in the story..but..I don't know..I just want more.I luv the adventure. The fast pace..the toys and gadgets..the crazy characters and alien races.... fox09
I think I read somewhere that Lucas was originally planing to make episosed 7-9. But he eventually changed his mind.

Canuck
Not me though.I think it keeps getting better.Mainly due to the special effects capabilities of today. You know, I really don't like when people parrot Maddox's opinions around, but he did make a valid point regarding Revenge of the Sith. Special effects cease being special when used in every scene. Dalpura
I think I read somewhere that Lucas was originally planing to make episosed 7-9. But he eventually changed his mind. Thats false. No, I recall reading about that too a few years ago. I'd love to see it, but it's not going to happen, and I think the story ended well. It would sort of just be, winding it on. It'd lose appeal. I imagine they'd go with the Dark Empire sort of story, but that's better kept to comic book in my opinion. The story ended well for the movies, the 'left over' bits of story are much better, and much more enjoyable in comics, novels, and games. Personally I like any Shadows of the Empire. Got the game (N64), the comics, and the book.

GTA3Freak-2001
No I think it should be left to rest, I'd rather see it finish like it is then for it to slowly decline which it is starting to do imo.

caponester
Theres no way it could possibly work unless you don't include any of the original cast. All the original actors are way to old and to be honest It'd suck anyway. Like an earlier poster said, Many novels & games have covered what happens after episode 6. asimov
ep II had the whole love story going on, which completely ruined everything ep I had darth maul, oh man he was stomping ass, they should've included more about him and how much he stomped. like in the comics/books how he trained to become a sith by living on a planet for 2 months by himself while being hunted by a packed of...hunters, then had to try kill his master
darthYENIK
Sorry to bump this. Didn't want to make another star wars topic. The lord know I would love to see 7, 8, and 9. But it isn't going to happen. George Lucas is 100% dedicated to the TV series, and cartoon. And who knows when those will come about. Episode III was a good way to end the series. Completely made up for episode II which didn't even feel like a star wars movie. Well we do have the 3D versions of the movies to look forward to in 2007, and I'm sure that next year they'll release the complete saga on DVD with even more extras, and hopefully deleted scenes from the original trilogy. I need my wormy fix dagnabit.

darthYENIK
The cartoon is gonna be CGI and set in the clone wars. And the live action series I'm not clear on, but I think it's set inbetween episodes III and IV. And of course the clone wars cartoon that has aired on cartoon network is getting some new episodes sometime next year. It's all really on theforce.net As for the 3D movies, it's not a solid 100% chance of happening, but lucas says he really wants to do it. click here
