Groovy
Just found out about this today. Strangly, I'm kind of interested in it. But there is a change in it that I'm bugged about. The character of Ben is being played by a white guy, instead of a black one. If you have seen the original, you would know that is an important part of the movie. ToyMachine
They should've used a black guy. The first movie had hidden themes of racism tied into the plot. Plus Romero is not involved in this any way. I'll still see it since I loved the first one, but it won't be that good. It seems a lot of people are cashing into that "Of the dead" series nowdays. Lazlowrocks.
No. f*cking no. Remakes always suck. With Ben being white, and the movie in 3D, it's going to ultra-suck. I'll be seeing it.
Goodfella.
So basically they're doing what they did with the Dawn remake and totally removing any depth and social comentary from the film, and replacing them with things that'll make the popcorn audience go "ooh, ahh". There is no god.
-shaDow
This looks like the worst and definitely most random unneccesary remake ever, especially since Dawn of the Dead was redone so masterfully and Land of the Dead had just been released, it's not like they're reviving the series. Philtheonearmedbandit
Remakes always suck. Need I remind you of The Thing or Scarface, remakes don't always suck, but this one will. Also has anyone else noticed that the entire cast is white?
Michael Bolton
I think this movie will suck but if it does get a theatrical release ill see it just for the gimmicky 3D.

Well neither is this, or Dawn of the Dead, or Assault on Precinct 13 for that matter. Just saying don't damn it on the principal that it's a remake, damn it on the fact that it already appears to be a bastardization of the origional movie. Philtheonearmedbandit
The only things I see that are constants between this movie and the origional Night is the characters names and the idea of a house in the middle of nowhere surrounded by zombies. I hate it, it's gonna be like the Dawn "remake" then.
E.A.B.
I remember seeing the movie like 4 times. I don't remember much because I was little, but I do remember having to walk home sh*tting my pants. I was so scared, yet couldn't get my eyes off the tv. When a great movie is done, remakes come along. If the remakes stick to the story, yet make some improvements in other areas and change only SMALL areas of the story, it would be good. Not big scenes. I'm still pissed that they don't have the black guy .
darthYENIK
That sucks he's not black, but in present day time a lead black character isn't a big deal like it was when the original living dead was made, during the civil rights movement. Plus they already 're'made this movie.
Smashdamit
Zombies are hot right now so you can expect more to follow as well. Some will be good, some will be bad.I'll wait to see it before condemning or condoning. Another zombie movie to see.Doesn't sound so bad to me. Big Slow
Just f*cking stop already. If they re-made the 60's classic in 3-d, I'd camp in line to see it, but not some sh*tty re-make. Think about it, if they change a major part of the story, what's gonna keep them from changing every small thing without a thought?
