How to get rid of weapons.

I recently started a new gameand I'm now on Doberman, from Sweet. I want to get rid of all my weapons and stock up on only the ones i need but whenever I get Wasted or Busted, my weapons stay with me. WTF? Im not going to shot every gun until it runs out. I have like, 400 rockets in the rocket launcher and about 700 shotgun shells in the shotgun.

If you were on Doberman and had 400 rockets you cheated.

But you keep weapons because you started a new game while in a game where you dated Katie and Barbara... try killing them then dying. Or, start over in a new save spot to see if you still have the glitch....

Since you are not losing your weapons on wasted/busted, you probably started this game while a previous game was loaded where you had the barbara/katie dating rewards.

 

You can get rid of some of your weapons by using weapon switches. Since the handgun, heavy, sniper, and grenade classes all have different ammo, switching them will remove your ammo stores. By this I mean, if you currently carry the DEagle, RPG, Sniper, and Satchels, you can pick up a 9mm, flamthrower, country rifle, and molotovs to reset the ammo; if you then want them gone completely, you only have a little bit of ammo to waste instead of hundreds. However, this won't work with smg, shotgun, or assault rifle classes since all the weapons in each of those classes use the same ammo.

 

I do have a suggestion, though. Since the wasted/busted problem is probably related to the girlfriend glitch, you might be able to make it go away by killing the girl. For example, grab a parachute & jack a plane, fly to El Quebrados (dodging Hydras on the way) and paradrop down onto the police station. Once there, Barbara should be talking to someone in the parking lot. Kill her, get in a car, and let yourself be arrested. If you're lucky, the reward will go away and you will lose your weapons. If not, you might have to fatten up first, then talk to her long enough to make her an official girlfriend in this game before you kill her. Later in the game, if you get all the oysters, she should respawn so you could date her again. I haven't tested any of this, but it seems like a possible solution.
