Doggath
In GTA, once you're wasted you reappear at the nearest hospital sans whatever you would lose. However, would it be possible to make a mod that would, once the player gets wasted, dump him in a random place in the city without shoes, coat, pants, jewelry, any random item of clothing and have him be loaded from the "laying down position"? For instance, say you have a gold necklace, nice shoes, basically nice clothes. You get wasted, and you reappear in another random part of the city, but you start out laying on the ground and your shoes and jewelry are gone. Is anything like this possible? JernejL
no problem, just set the arrest & hospital locations somewhere randomly below ground and the game will respawn you onto random spot on ground on one of ped paths. Doggath
no problem, just set the arrest & hospital locations somewhere randomly below ground and the game will respawn you onto random spot on ground on one of ped paths. Would the player be starting from the "laying down" position? And would the clothes-removal be possible?
Demarest
All of it would be possible assuming you could adequately detect you being wasted/busted. My attempts at it in earlier GTAs were VERY hard as it seemed as if the wasted/busted opcodes were meant mostly to interact with the engine's inherent return of gosubs in the event of a wasted/busted. If you could detect though, it would be easier to pick a point randomly instead of relying on the engine tracking made up hospital/precincts.
