tommiegunz
Well, since I'm 18 I was just surfing on the internet on occasions sites, and I end up The Gallery in Brummen and I saw an Chevrolet Camero, year of build: 1994, but It was an official Indianapolis 500 Pace Car, which this car rolled on the track in oddley enough.... may 1993. So it has been used earlier than the car has been build. Should probably an mistake, but it is a stupid mistake. . Sorry it might be small, didn't do it good in Paint . Since there isn't a decent topic about car.... well silly car thingies, it isn't dubble posting or whatever.
Dup
It will most likely mean it was registered for the road in 1994 after its service on the track. In the UK our registration plates indecate the year of registration on the road. Maybe the site has just mistaken this for the year of when it was build, even though over here at least, that is true. Most cars are ordered in when bought new and registered for the road then.
JJHW
It's probably the 1994 model... For instance, right now I could go and buy the 2006 Lexus IS... +FF7F24+
Cojawfee
Most likely Chevrolet was using it to show off the '94 model in early '93 by using it as a pace car. JJHW: You can't buy a certain year car until fall of the previous year. For instance the Ford Fusion is a 2006 car, but it came out fall 2005. Trueno_Drifter86
Yeah probably something like thease guys said tons of times automakers will bring out the next years model even if their not in that year yet. Example: My parents bought a 2006 Freestar when it's only 2005.TRUENO
Dup
But that still has nothing to do with when it was built, and that kind of marketing has only been around since the late 90's. You have to remember its a poorly translated site, and when you sell a car you generally put down when it was first registered on the road. Devyl
Little story I have to share: Back in 1997, I was in awe as Ford rolled out the 2000 model F-150. No 1998 or 1999 model, just straight from 1997 to 2000.
Cran.
Little story I have to share: Back in 1997, I was in awe as Ford rolled out the 2000 model F-150. No 1998 or 1999 model, just straight from 1997 to 2000. Wow, ford went into the future and got a 2000 F-150! Yeah, i'd agree with what Dup said. But the thing is, my dad's jag was built in 93, but was registered in 94. It's refered to as a 94 model.
tommiegunz
How foolish of me. I didn't thought about that for a second. Yours all right.
Mercedes-Benz
I think September they changed the year of the model. My 300SE was built 11/88, but its an 89.
