hooligan][uk
hello fellow law breakers I just got san an today for me pc,but I played it sh*tloads on my ps2 which broke a little while after getting it so it all went back to the shop. now my prob is the buttons config, which are second nature to me on a ps2.I have got most of the controls right but i always have to use the num pad to look around, rather than the right mushroom on my pad, which is a right royal pain in the ass.Am i missing something on the menu or is it not possible. btw I have a thrustmaster firestorm pad,and I have no cash to buy a ps2 pad and adapt it. any help will be appreciated, cause at the mo its really bugging me. cheers to y'all edit:I just nicked a fok-lift too and couldnt lift anything, and police sirens dont work. For police sirens on PS2 I clicked the left mushroom down. any ideas anybody... edit, edit:got the sirens to work, its the same as ps2(DOH!!) NightHawk231
Hey Hool... The default for raising/lowering the hook is NUM8 & NUM2... Lower the hook, back up to the vehicle to be towed, raise the hook and drive off... These keys are also what control the vertical/horizontal thrust on the Hydra (the Harrier Jump Jet clone)... Wheels up/down on certain planes is the number 2 (above the "w" key)...This is another frequently asked question... From your Main menu you can access Options, then Controller Setup and configure your keys any way you wish... To me, this was the hardest part of the game...I spent the first few hours rearranging the keys until I was comfortable with them...Then, of course, some other new thing came into play and back to rearranging I went... Remember, on a keyboard/mouse setup you can only hit up to three keys at a time or you start getting the "keyboard error beep" so careful arrangement of keys is strategic to gameplay later on... I'm at work right now but, if you'd like, I could send you a copy of my setup later on...Works fine for me (even for flying all the different aircraft --- which is what people bitch most about) both on the ground and in the air...Once you get used to it it's a snap... Hope this helps/NightHawk

hooligan][uk
thanks for the offer nighthawk, but I'm gonna have keep tweaking it myself. Its pretty dodgy tho,you wouldve thought R* would've supported PC pads. The D pad is wasted, and so is the right mushroom the controls dont seem natural at the mo. hooligan][uk
oh crap the controls are so all over the place it makes the harrier usless and so is the jet-pack,I cant even fricken bunny-hop on my bike without having to press a stupid key,and I'm not even gonna mention the absolute cluminess of looking around,oh opps I did already. c'mon R* this game is all about fighting for survival, not fighting with the controls just too look at where a grenade landed. I wish I had put my money towards a new PS2 now instead of this silliness
