brianosaur
(1) Is there any way to alter the radio to default to a specific station every time you get into any vehicle? (2) Any way to select specific tracks? Like altering a station that I never listen to mod to another user track station? (3) And what are \GTA San Andreas\audio\streams files? GTA3Freak-2001
1) I am pretty sure its a random thing that can't be altered. 2) Unlike Vice City the audio format for the game is different and as of yet there is no audio tools that would let us edit the radio stations to include your own selection of songs. 3) Refer to 2) so those are the audio files for the game which as of yet have no ways of editing. brianosaur
(1) I am pretty sure its a random thing that can't be altered. What's weird is that they don't appear to be all that 'random'. I've only been playing to game for about a week, yet I've noticed that the radio stations playing in the vehicle you steal are usually stereotyped to the type of person driving. pdescobar
(1) Is there any way to alter the radio to default to a specific station every time you get into any vehicle? There is some sort of "Auto-tune" option on the Audio options screen to help with this; if you get into a parked car with that option on, the radio will automatically go to the last station you were listening to. If you jack a car, however, it doesn't apply and you are stuck listening to whatever the ped you just victimized had on. I believe you are correct in your later posting that the radio station has some relation to the specific ped. (2) Any way to select specific tracks? Like altering a station that I never listen to mod to another user track station? You can't have a second user track station. I hope to have a tool that will allow some amount of radio editing in the coming weeks, but it would involve taking a group of existing audio files and slapping them together into a stream file. If you wanted to change a song in such a station, you would still have to rebuild the entire stream to do so. Unfortunately, it appears that a good deal about the streams is hardcoded and so radio editing is somewhat limited. (3) And what are \GTA San Andreas\audio\streams files? Those are the actual radio stations and a few other audio collections such as the commercials, background music for interiors, dialogue for long cutscenes, and dance tracks.
