lesfleanut
Suppose this topic has no real purpose, but, f*ck it - It's noon and I am half way to drunk thanks to tanqueray and beer darker than Nelson Mandela. Just a few questions and comments I have to anyone who will hear me out and possibly even answer them. First off, for me, computers are not part of my life at all anymore. I just recently built one for my sister, whose house I live at, and all this new sh*t got me wondering. What has happened to computing, since computing left my life (thank god!). Now, I have missed about everything since the 9700 pro was the sh*t and the FX flopped like a Hoover that crunched numbers on the side. My nforce2 made me cool and mike39 knew everything. Now, my questions - What is the best way to go? NVIDIA or ATI, AMD or Intel, Blonde or Brunette? What is the new "Dream Computer" at a normal PC price of say 2000 USD? Anyways, I built this PC - let's talk about that for a minute, and its back story: So my old PC that I had back in the day (amd 1700+ OC'd, 512 crucial OC'd, gforce ti4200 OC'd, my spacious 2x20GB 1700rpm WD's, Logitech wireless MX mouse/keys, 5.1 surround, all in my sexy beast antec oversizer *see Maj's yellow beast case*), was thrown out a 3rd story window by my mom who, in a bipolar fit of rage towards my dad (something which I was completely uninvolved in ), decided it was necessary to do. Followed by my computer were my dads almost identical PC and his 27 inch awesome new Sony TV. Anyways, I go over there to pick up the PC to bring it to my sister, who is starting a business and needs a PC to run it from, and found all this out. What do I do rebuild. Cheap stylee. My brother in law went and got a 500 dollar best buy credit card, with which he spent 470 on the following: Nice looking no-name case, 120GB Seagate HDD, 17 inch MAG LCD, and a hemorrhoid from the sales associate who, thankfully, must have almost graduated from Bryant and Stratton with a degree in sucking my f*cking balls at knowing anything. Now, I know, he got ripped But you have to understand that cash flow is tight with a new baby and 10 bucks a month on a card sounds god-damned good to them. I was able to salvage 768MB of crucial from the two PC's, one 20 GB hdd *which has my 15 gigs of music on it THANK F*CKING GOD!* a cd burner, and a dvd rom. I bought a refurb biostar nforce2 board off newegg for 30 bucks and called it a machine. 500 bucks, nice. The machine is running very well, and is very fast for what we need it for Boots quicker than anything I have ever owned, and security is highest concern as both I and my sister do all of our transactions through here. Anyways, sorry but maybe people can fill me and others in on the technological advanced in the past 24 months in computing. Thanks for listening to my rant and I swear to god I wont do this every time I get drunk. In the war of words, I am vigilante on a mission. That mission is unbeknownst to me at this point. Peace out homies Edited November 11, 2005 by lesfleanut

lesfleanut
Is there a question in there or what? Second paragraph. Drunkness is that light that guides me through this darkened tunnel. I call it jesse, it gives me a lighter when I have to smoke, and tops my newcastle out when my pint is low.
