selim Posted November 1, 2005 Share Posted November 1, 2005 I'm on the very first casino mission, Fender Ketchup and the cutscene and everything plays out fine and the bit where CJ gets into the car but as he's about to drive out the car hits something and just stops. So basically I'm stuck in the garage with the car trying to go forward (screeching its wheels now and again) and I can't progress any further. This is a really annoying problem as I can't continue the game now. Is there a way of editing your save game file so that you can tell it you've past that mission. I can't see any other way round this, and it seems to happen every time I try and do this mission. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

mx22 Posted November 2, 2005 Share Posted November 2, 2005 I had the same problem, the car would not drive out the garage and will simply go and bump against the walls. I kept pressing the space button (to skip the movie) and eventually it worked. Also, try to skip this cutscene as soon as it starts, that worked for me when I had to retry the mission. I guess I have no other option, apart from using another savegame, which I don't want to do cause I've got CJ as I want him. Thanks. Edit Pressing space doesn't skip the cutscene in the garage and after leaving the game to run for a while to see what happens the car blows up (killing me and the guy on bonnet) and as the camera moves up I notice the garage door is closed. I'm not sure if it closes after the explosion or if it was closed all this time but it does explain why I can't get out. Strange since you actually see it go up during the cutscene. mx22 Posted November 2, 2005 Share Posted November 2, 2005 Try mouse clicking pr pressing escape button. One of these definitely worked for me. Also, try pressing space (mouse or escape - whichever allows you to skip movies during the game) as soon as the cutscene appears. At least this allowed me to get past the cutscene.
