*MURDOC*
Once converted, the custom tracks take up only, like 1/3 of the space of an mp3.

Ville.Valo
THATS PROMOTING ILLEAGLE ACTIVITIES! BANNAGE Anyway, enough of me trying to get you banned. I would imagine if you have the program you might be able to convert normal tracks. But you would have to try it...
elipse
you can get music from limwire and put it on a cd and then get it on the custom tracks. It worked for me.

Ville.Valo
Or you could just get a program that enables you to convert files. Or I could find you one and get you a link, or send it over MSN...

Cubanwhip
I got a question. I want to have all my tracks play in order. They all play out of order, and it's ruining the radio show i'm trying to make. Any advise on how to fix this?

stewarty77
Got the solution, its not too difficult! First of all do the following: - Download Alcohol 120%, use BitComet and get the full working version ( not sure if trial version will work) - Download Rockstar Custom Tracks - Have a USB cable, and connect it to your PSP and go to USB connection in the settings Step 1 Choose what Mp3's you want and burn them onto a disk as audio using Nero or whatever you have. Keep the newly burned audio disk in your cd drive. Step 2 Open Alcohol 120% and go to Image Making Wizard. Change the datatype to Audio CD then click next. Change the file save as format to .cue instead of .mds and save it somewhere convienient. Step 3 After image making is complete, on the Alcohol 120% main screen right click on your new image and go to mount on device (H:) or whatever letter it says. Step 4 Now run Rockstar Custom Tracks and select the drive you mounted the image on. The songs should now appear on the screen, then just click the button on the side and click ok again and the tracks will begin to transfer to your PSP. Step 5 Start GTA and during gameplay hit start, then audio and select custom tracks to be on. You should now be able to listen to your own music without having to buy actual CD's, come to think of it i do not own a single album or cd! Shabba! Timpo
But how are you supposed to Convert them? Theres a button to the left side of the screen which is greyed out, I'm pretty sure thats the convert button but I cant click on it make sure you have your PSP connected to your PC, and have it in USB mode. and why do you all have problems. just download iTunes. CD's burned with iTunes work perfectly for me. (I don't even have to bother burning CD's at the moment, I just got a whole bunch of CD's from my parents..) SaintJimmy
heres the deal with file formats for audio cd's, i know this because my dads an audio engineer /recording artist the file format for any song on any audio cd is AIFF. they are about 40 - 100 megs. The ".wma" or ".mp3" format is only that once you burn it to your computer, and it depends what program you use to burn or 'rip' it to your computer. for example, if you rip it to your computer with Windows Media Player, it will save it as .wma with iTunes, its .m4a which is a different version of mp4 with realplayer, you can choose which format. thats the 411 yo
Xsjado
i found somewhere on the net a page that showed that u could put mp3s on the soundtrack. i lost the web site but i remember that the file converter thing u use to puut the music off the cds into the game is based on codemasters 'Exact Audio Copy PSP Edition'. u could use exact audio copy 2 convert the mp3s then change them from .toc to .gta. then u had 2 put them in a file with a heap of numbers and 'Custom Soundtrack' in the name probly the file created by the proper grand theft auto cd converter. if anyone nos the name of the file u can put ya mp3s on the soundtrack. and if u find the file can u please post the name of it
Xsjado
iv got it. to use the mp3s on ur computer instead of using a commercial cd make a file called ULES00151CUSTOMTRACKS then use exact audio copy to convert ur mp3s. then change them from .toc files to .gta files and put them in the folder mentioned above.
