wayne_2005
hey im back people , since everyone has to have legal cd's i doe some reviewing and found out how to upload songs on to your psp without using a cd but you have to have done it at least once with a cd , simply just find the folder which contains the custom soundtracks , should be something like US1223401customtracks thats not really what it is by the way , its under game saves on the psp , find that and get the burnout music convertor which converts the mucis into .toc which requires no cd , simply just change the file format to .gta and it works fine i got this off another tut at psphacks.com remember to put the files into the custom tracks folder
Alien18
Though i haven't got my 1gb memory card or GTA yet (both should be here before the week is out). I have heard that a few people have had success by creating an Audio CD image (rather than burning to CD) then mounting that image with Daemon Tools. Obviously, i have tried it yet but I'll try anything to get my beautiful iTunes tracks into GTA. Not sure what will be easier in the long run tho - creating an image and mounting it or doing that .toc rename to .gta thing in the last post. XschecterX
It wont aknowledge my cds. My itunes pops up, but the RCT program still says there isnt an audio cd in the computer. Wtf?
-Kannon-
I burned music to a rewritable cd, and then I could still convert these songs to the LCS Custom Soundtrack, but it was going really slow (more than 1 hour to convert 1 song)..............can't I normally? (The music I got, I didn't bought it, or bought the cd, or an album, I just burned it with a mix of different music, the music I downloaded were not a music that you can buy at the store nor a music I made.........) Same, i just burned a CD using Windows Media Player, and inserted it into my CD drive again, and the songs then appeared on the Rockstar Custom Tracks, It takes me roughly 1 minute to write a song, and i've got a 48x CD-RW Optical Drive, (Dell XPS rule ) But i did copy over 1 protected song i got off a CD, so if that effected it or not i don't actually know. (Because it has a licence and everything)
-Kannon-
It was downloaded music, only one of the songs i put on the CD had a license, anyhow, i prefer to have no music when doing missions, but for strolling around, or kicking some you know what, it's all good. Geolancer
Hi guys In order to put your mp3ssssssssssssss on your gta is this (and not wasting any of your cds to burn) 1) your whatever format of musics 2) Alcohol 120% or Daemol(spelling maybe off) 3) Nero Burning (any version will do) 4) GTA Custom Soundtrack (of course) Example: 1) Open Nero to Burn CD "Make Audio CD" 2) Add your files (whatever *.mp3, *.wav etc.) 3) Pick "Image Recorder" (this will have all your sounds files in nrg format) pick any name for your file (ie:GTA.nrg) and burn it and should save it on your PC 5) Open Alcohol120% "mount image" gta.nrg 6) Open GTA Custom , and you should see all your soundtrack when you pick pick your alcohol Extra drive. 7) just connect your PSP and you have all your music port to GTA and no license needed and without acutally buring a cd(s)
Thorpe
Shame Alcohol costs money. I already have Nero though. Is there a way without involving Alcohol?
GTA3Freak-2001
Shame Alcohol costs money. I already have Nero though. Is there a way without involving Alcohol? You can get Alcohol 120% for free its just not the full version, you've also got the choice of Daemon Tools which are totally free and do the exact same thing. Talidan
I've read somewhere that you can use the software that enables TOCA 2 to play custom soundtracks (which allows MP3s to be converted). You would have to move the files to the appropriate GTA folder and rename the *.toc files into *.gta files. Yes it's true. There is a much easier way of doing this rather than burning CD's people. Download the Codemaster's music converter: DOWNLOAD 1) drag and drop your mp3 files into the program, and it'll attempt to convert it. Save your new tracks with appropriate names. 2) Rename your files from the .toc extension to .gta 3) Place them in psp/savedata/UCUS98603MUSIC NOTE: If you get an error saying mp3 is not supported, try converting it to WAV first. i've also tested this for Burnout for PSP (editing the ISO directly) and renamed them appropriately and it worked too Edited November 19, 2005 by Talidan

While I'm in this topic: Someone should make a .gta player for the PSP... all these GTA files are clogging up my memory stick, it's stupid that Rockstar made it so you can't use MP3s... bloody stupid.
