fox09
Well, due to Oblivion's retarded leveling system, it's impossible to max out all your attributes unless you're playing very specifically. I'm pretty sure most people will make it to around 46-47, but I think the actual level cap (IE 100 everything) is around 50-something.
Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
Well apparently 50 is the level cap. But, shouldn't everyone be able to reach that? We all have 7 skills we can master, reaching 100. Yet, my last unmastered major skill is Marksman, level 79. And I'm level 46, which looks like I won't make 50. What gives? Damo.
It depends on your race and class bonuses. If you start certain skills higher than others you won't be able to reach the level cap. I'm unsure what the cap in Morrowind is, but I can't level up anymore due to my skills being maxed. I'm stuck at level 74 (thank you, drain skill trick!). ICEKING_688
How do you go about installing the Official Plug-Ins for the game e.g. Wizards Tower, Vile Lair and the Thieves etc. p.s. There was a person earlier on in the topic (I can't remember who), anyway he said that Cyrodiil was supposed to be set in a tropical jungle like world and not a medieval world, but isn't this jungle terrain Argonia aka Black Marsh or Akavir? poopskin
Well, oblivion is infamous for Poopooing lore from previous games. i wouldn't know as i can't make it any farther in the opening prison in arena, and morrowind obviously isn't set in cyrodiil. Machida
Okay....Anyway im up to the part were U have to kill a Duke, which one should i kill It can't be fun letting someone else make the choice! If I remember correctly you will get a different set of armor depending one who you kill. The light side will give you the golden saints armor while the dark side will give you *insert dark sided critters here* armor. Also make sure you loot the body of the whomever you kill, you will get items from them.

I seem to remember their armor was a bit on the ugly side though, I much prefered the Golden Saints outfit!

To be honest it's a game I haven't picked up in a long time, I'm enjoying a bit of free time these days so I dare not pick it up again. I must have put at least 300 hours in back in the day. Shivering Isles was especially good though. I think I found myself favouring the dark path on my first play through. Have you found the tomb stone easter egg yet? Mike Tequeli
I've enchanted 5 items with 20% chameleon, thus making me completely invisible. So basically I can breeze through the Oblivion Gates without having to actually fight, and the Thieves Guild missions will be as easy as pie. That kinda ruins the game doesn't it? I remember doing that and I thought I was the sh*t for about 15 minutes but then I got bored. You essentially are a non-participant in the game once you are invisible, you kill whoever and whatever you want and nobody will fight you. Like a weapon that is much too powerful, I locked it away in my vault and never touched it again, sort of. I had a stack of saves, maybe 40, and I was doing the main quest (very late into the game mind you). Well long story short, that save file was deleted and I was set back about 2 weeks worth of play, specifically help for Bruma. If you don't understand what I'm getting at, basically I destroyed about 8 Oblivion gates for that quest. This would've taken a solid 5 hours to do again and Oblivion gates are like watching paint dry, plus I had gathered massive amounts of loot from them that I couldn't get from standard invisibility. So I picked up the chameleon suit and wrecked all the oblivion gates in about and hour. I don't regret it either. Oblivion is a game about controlling your own powers, they make it too easy to become technically indestructible, I could easily set my self to reflect damage 120% but there would be no point in playing. Same goes for resist normal weapons. Anyways, the level cap is 255 I believe. @Waddy - Try UESP.net, they're pretty thorough about easter eggs etc. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Oblivion (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Oblivion)
The Miker
I for one love making myself overpowered for a short while so I can go on massive killing sprees. One of the most fun things to do in my opinion is to go to some area of the Imperial City and piss off a guard, then cast Midas Lightning Storm and just kick back and listen to the strikes. fox09
So on my hardest difficulty game, I just got the Mages' Staff in the Mages Guild quest line. I basically spent most of the game up to that point with Reynald and Guilbert Jemaine following me. Though, that's another thing that makes the game too easy. Every battle boiled down to, Summon Skeleton, go invisible. Rinse, repeat. I recently got rid of them to make things hard again. I managed to kill both a Spider Daedra and a Frost Atronach at the same time. I felt epic. Oh, I also managed to take down Umbra, at around level 16. It wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be. I basically just used a summon to keep her distracted, the pelted her with damage health potions. It only took 20 or so.
freak2121
So Gwinas already took the book, what can I do?If I kill him I'll have the city against me, if I reload my save I'll be at the part where you have to save Martin. Help?I don't want to do all those things again. Edited September 14, 2008 by freak2121

Ya, but I'm more or less done/bored with this game now. I have the strategy guide now and know how the game ends, so what's the point? The rest of the achievements or just for advancing in rank, so there's no incentive to keep playing. On a side note, I'm replaying GTA IV again.
