Omaedon
ok, I've downloaded the nowheel.dff thing and installed it, I've downloaded an IMG editor, and I've installed the mod cars exactly like the read me included with the car says, but the only thing this has done for my game is slow down my load times and completely remove the original car from the game and not replace it, like for instance, I downloaded a Toyota Supra GT for Vice city, replace the infernus.txd with the new file, and the infernus.dff with the new file, and editted the Carcols.dat, default.ide, and handling.cfg files just as directed and all it did for me was remove the infernus from the game and slow down my load times from like...5 seconds to 5 minutes, can anybody tell me why it's doing this and how I might fix the problem? Thanks
DexX
it sounds like the car you downloaded is corrupt. if it doesn't appear in your garage, or parked on the roads anywhere, if you dont SEE it ingame, its almost certainly a defective mod. the loading issues are signs of this as well. Omaedon
it does this with every car I've downloaded so far....
DexX
they could all be corrupt, though thats unlikely. i dont know specificly what cars you downloaded, or what the specs for your computer are, but there is also the chance that the cars are too detailed (model is too detailed, textures too large) for your computer to handle efficiently. all it did for me was remove the infernus from the game and slow down my load times from like...5 seconds to 5 minutes did the replacement vehicle ever actually show up? double check the wheelmod install too, if all the cars you got use it. --Cole--
I never use a manual version of the Dmagic wheelmod. Get the Vice City Mod Manager or the GTA Garage Mod Manager, both come with an easy auto-install wheelmod.
