Sylent_Bob
If you can't afford the $350 (thats the cheapest I found) price tag for Vegas, I used Ulead video editor for my last video, and it worked pretty well. I'm sure vegas has Ulead beat by a long shot, you do get what you pay for, but Ulead gets the job done. And it is a hell of a lot better than Windows Movie Maker. Wolf68k
2. filerfront sucks? why? - cuz its slow as hell. But it's completely free...and bandwidth cost money. Besides 100K/sec isn't all that slow. Yes it is slower than the 500+K/sec I can get but the lines are short if any at all. You do have to registery if you want control of your own files hosted there but again it's free and space is unlimited. As for a free video editor try Avid FreeDV

Mxyzptlk
www.thegamersalliance.com = reg needed, fastest downloads, beware the archives. www.megaupload.com = fast upload, slow download, any file type, 250MB limit I think. www.filefront.com = FTP upload, long server waits, slow downloads. www.putfile.com = 10MB or less, streaming playback, sometimes freezes. www.yousendit.com = slow upload, 7 days or 25 download limit. www.rapidshare.de = slow download, doesn't work for some users. cronusthetitan
I have Vegas, and I didn't spend close to even $300. Not even $100. Look around and you'll find it.
Wolf68k
www.filefront.com = FTP upload, long server waits, slow downloads. Long server waits? You might be thinking of fileplanet.com I waited about 2 minutes for COD2 the longest I saw yesterday and as of this posting is 5mins. Once the surge for this demo dies down the wait time for anything drops to 0mins. Plus they have a good number of mirror servers to DL from. As for the speeds, I've found that it depends on what is going on. Like with COD2 demo out the speeds are some what slow but 100+k/s is better than what I've seen from come other servers offering it, and remember this is a free. As for it's hosting, you might want to note that the file size is unlimited, space is unlimited, and bandwidth is unlimited. You have to sign up to get your own space but you then control over it. Fileplanet.com on the other hand is currently at 40+mins and only 3 servers, plus you have to sign up just to DL. I have no idea of what their freebe speeds are since I haven't used it in about a year or 2 if I can help it. You don't get your own space to upload your files, but you can upload files to them but I have no idea what the limits are and I'm sure there are some. rapidshare.com - I've seen some pretty good downloads speeds from them, but it does vary from day to day and the time of day. You forgot to mention that upload limit is 50MB. And the file lives on the server as long as it's getting hit, if no hits after 30days then it's removed. If you can get it to work, which I've never had a problem with, there are some other limits. One being how much you can download in 1-hour and then you also have a limit of how much you can download within 24hours and then you have to wait 24hours before you can download again. Both of these have a work around, remove the rapidshare cookie and get a new IP address....I've downloaded about 400mb within an hour to 1-1/2 doing this
Mxyzptlk
Hehe I forgot you would have something to say about that line.... By "long server waits" I mean that if you want to get a video that's just been posted, often all the servers will say 2-5 min wait, while the other sites I listed are 45 seconds or less. Unlimited size, bandwidth and usage are all plusses, of course. But I just listed two or three points about each host I thought would be most relevant to users here... And about the slow downloads, comparatively most of the hosts I listed I said were slow as well. TGA and Putfile let you watch the video faster than the other services, but they have limitations I mentioned... Sorry I didn't mean to insult your service, just wanted to give a very general and broad view of several free hosts for people new to this... Where does it go? I'm confused. For most video capture cards, you can connect the regular PS2 cables (the yellow, red and white plugs). The back of the PCI card has ports and jacks just like you find on the back of a television. Or, you can get a universal s-video adapter cable, which has s-video in addition to the yellow red and white jacks. No video cables usually come with the TV tuner card though. Where does it go? I'm confused You know the 3 wires (red, white, yellow) that go from your PS2 to your TV.. Well, the yellow one goes into the new whole created from the capture card, the red and white sound ones go into something that looks like this: and that single bit goes into the green whole in the back of your pc and wala. Thats my way of doing it anyway.
