Drive-bys

Is there anything I can do to allow me to perform drivebys with weapons other than the submachine guns. even just the Pistols would be great

(I have Pavels driver mod so drivebys are alot of fun but dont like blowin all my cash on uzi's and such )

 

Anyone know if / how I can make the pistol (s) drive-by-able?

I found a glitch on PS2 which allowd you to drive-by with any weapon. I'll go test it on my PC version to see if it works .

 

Don't think there's a mod though.

 

EDIT: w00t, Get in a car with the drive-by cheat on, spawn a parachute while doing drive-by's, get out pick an AK47, Shotgun or Pistol, get back in the car and woopah! you should be shooting with your weapon of choice.

The only problem is it makes your gun invisible, but it still shoots!

You will have to test if this works with Pavel's driver mod as I don't have it . Hope it works.

Couldn't you just put player in turret mode and now be able to fire whatever you want anyways?

Im not sure what you mean Demarest, I know you can access turret mode when in the heli, can you in a car too?

I guess so. Consider Supply and Demand where you use a Ruger from a boat. A few mods have taken advantage of it (for VC). It's quite possible that SA did away with turret mode since driveby's from passenger seats were enabled.

Is there anyway I can use other weapons in drivebys without using turret mode? when cj leans across the car/out of the window to fire..I dont really want to activate any cheats on my savegame

Is there nothing in the weapon stats that could change it? or maybe something in one of the script files?

 

In the Driver Mod I've noticed the homies / mafia members are using AK47's to perform drive bys, and the homies used pistols from the start of the game, even on the PS2 release
