Ching.
I've downloaded several replacement cars, most of which are outstanding. But, there's a few that want to use the sabre slot. Can I change what car a mod replaces? Or is the modded car dependant on the car it replaces? A prime example is the 64 Impala mod. I want it to replace the savanna (impala look-alike anyway) instead of the voodoo. If I change the ID and all relevent ID info, would that work ok? I wanted to ask before trying something that could wreck the game, or if there was some hidden variables that i'm not aware of.
DexX
it depends on the car, but most of the time you can just re-name the files and the data lines, and it should work ok. There are certain cases where this isn't true, like the zr350, which is the only car in the game with pop-up headlights. so for example if you have multiple cars that use pop-up headlights, like a corvette and a mazda rx-7, only one of them could get the working lights, since only the zr350 has them. i know you mentioned that savanna/voodoo, this was just an example to illustrate my point. If I change the ID and all relevent ID info, would that work ok? I wanted to ask before trying something that could wreck the game, or if there was some hidden variables that i'm not aware of. The worst is can do is crash your game. i'd say give ti a shot, just be sure to backup any files you modify, before you do it. in most cases it should work.
