Flying?

Hi buddies,

a little help need here i hope u peolple would do tht

i have got controls for plane and helicopter like

up-acc

down-dacc

right-turn right

left-turn left

my question is how i can move the helicopter in front cos when ever i pressed up it goes up instead of going forward

pls do help me out for it

For helicopters, you have to press W to make it move forward and S to make it slow down. These 2 controls are reversed when using a plane ie. W to descend and S to ascend.

After almost giving up my game because I'm having so much trouble in flight school, I was so happy when I finally completed the circle the airfield and land the damn plane mission, next up the helicopter. Oh my god. Like Simonsez9, I'm also having trouble with the helicopter controls. The answer provided by ajkhan316 didn't really help.

 

Following the directions on screen, when you press W, the copter goes up. Press S and it goes down. Ok, once it's up, and I stop pressing W, how do I get it to go FORWARD. It says the Q and E will turn it, that went ok. But then it says to use the down (or up, I forget now) arrow to tilt it and press W to go forward. I only seem to be able to go straight up or straight down into a nasty fireball.

 

Can anyone else help? I'm using a keyboard and mouse ... no game pad or controller.

Are you able to tilt it? As if tilt it, hold the button that is for accend. Don't over tilt, just leave it at about a 45 degree angle, and release the button. Try to keep it at a 45 degree angle and you will start to move forward.

to move forward=lean forward untill its on a 45 degree angle,release it and press accelerate then press lean forward again while holding accelerate keep on pressing and releasing lean forward and try to maintain a straight line)

 

to go left or right(vice city chopper style)= turn left or right by pressing Q or E and A or D,u have to use the corresponding strafe key while pressing Q or E

Thank you to those who offered the tips. It worked. You kind of have to tip the nose of the chopper down (arrow key) while pressing the W key. Then he sort of glides around. Hope this baby has barf bags, my flying seems a bit "wavy". But I WAS able to do it.

Guess what I did though. I was determined to get through flight school. I went back and practiced plane landings. I only had bronze and silver medals up to that point, so I went back and got gold. Finished all the plane flights. I sort of mastered controlling the helicopter, and finished the one where you have to shoot out the trucks and jeeps. Proud of myself, decided to quit for the night. I forgot to save!!!

Oh well, at least now I know I can do it. Good luck to everyone else stuck on this part. The more you do it, the better CJ gets, and eventually you'll do it. (not sure sure about those blasted RC planes though. Still haven't got thru supply lines.)
