Mr. Someguy
Can anyone make a mod that fixes the collisions? I get tired of rearending a car & the hood flys off, I wan't to smash all sides of a car, not just the front. Mr. Someguy
bump? 1 week, no answer.
Suction Testicle Man
There's nothing wrong with any of the cars' collision, unless you have modified them. So I don't really know what you're saying here.. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.
Daalyman05
Do you mean that you wont it to be more like say the bloodring, like a demolition type of damage? If so i can not off the top of my head remember if the bloodring has the hood fly off or not, but if it does not then maybe you can us it's dff file for whatever model you are trying to get this sort of damage. Mr. Someguy
I mean that bug where you rear-end/T-bone a car & it damages the front bumper. Very annoying cause sometimes I can reapeatedly run 2 cars into each-other & only damage the front.
Mr. Someguy
BUMP again!

If you're talking about SA, and you haven't modified any cars, reinstall or something. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated. Mr. Someguy
It's for SA, I had the same problem in the PS2 version. If you don't know what I mean, try rear-ending an undamaged car, then look at the front!
SeaNorris.
I know what you mean but it is random afterall.
Mr. Someguy
When I hit another car, about 98% of the time it will damage the front.
SeaNorris.
When I hit another car, about 98% of the time it will damage the front. That seems to just be you I just stole about 50 different cars and got rammed up the rear, 90% of the time it were rear damage.
Mr. Someguy
Then somthing in the damage file is screwed up. Should I send the file, or does every car have a different file?

Its just random, like I said, nothing you do will prevent it.

SeaNorris.
Never had this problem in GTA3/Vice. I did, rarely at best, nothing can be done to stop it though.
Suction Testicle Man
It's not random. Every car has it's own collision data. For this to happen, the rear collision spheres would have to be renamed to 'bonnet' rather than 'boot'. I have the game on PS2 and PC, and have never seen randomly-damaging parts. Perhaps you can post a video? You can use Fraps. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.

Mr. Someguy
How do I make it a zip?
Suction Testicle Man
Download WinRAR here and use it to make a zip archive containing the video (this compresses the file size). You can then upload it. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.
Edmachine
For me it's the same actually and it is stupid that front gets damaged and not even a scratch in the rear.
