atlantis0
hi, i have a weird problems here, when i open the game in the menu sometimes the left button of the mouse is not working so i quit the game using the keyboard. Sometimes the left button is working and during the game at anytime the mouse cannot work, specially when i try to save the game or i press ESC button when it is the case the screen went black and freeze my system i am obliged to reboot the system. I read in the forums a solution that might change the compatibility into windows 98 or windows 2000 but it s still not changing anything. Can you help on this !!!!!! itzo
i have exactly this problem, with a Leadtek 6600GT graphics card. There are two indicators the game is about to freeze: 1) not being able to click with the mouse in the menu (or savegame), but still being able to point with it. 2) not being able to use the mouse AT ALL (to point OR click) within the actual game. In the first case, returning to the game will sometimes crash the game, and in the 'best case' the next time i try to bring up the menu/savegame the game will crash. In the second case, the next time i try to bring up the menu/savegame the game will crash. By crash i mean the screen will turn black and when i press ctrl-alt-delete the task manager will not APPEAR however it is actually open because i can end the san andreas task by memorising the pattern of key strokes necessary to end a not-responding task. Other system specs: Windows XP Pro (SP2) Terratec 6fire DMX soundcard (i have no sounds issues though) Intel 915 motherboard (i think...) Pentium 4 3.2ghz 512mb RAM Running original V1.0 of the game. I've tried reinstalling, changing graphics drivers, changing graphics settings, deleting the gta_sa.set file. Can anybody shed some light on the problem please?? I've had this bug since i first installed the game. Cheers!

atlantis0
i did unstall the game for right now beacuse i dont want to break my head with those kind of problems, but i think it might mbe the graphic card i have a NVIDIA GEFORCE 4 MX 4000 128 MB. and I have Pentium 4 3.00 GHZ with 256 MB RAM. If i should change my graphic card the problem will be fixed this is for sure. Try to change your graphic card you will see that you will have less problems with games in general, specially when other good games are coming soon. Alstroph
I am also having this exact problem, but the problem did not occur until I began using Rivatuner to attempt to fix my graphic errors and overclock my card a bit.
Mike0
I am also having this exact problem, but the problem did not occur until I began using Rivatuner to attempt to fix my graphic errors and overclock my card a bit. Rockstar officialy does not recomend playing San An on overclocked hardware, because it is made so that it uses hardware to its limits, and if you overclock it, it is in some way already on that limit and it can overheat. That causes PC restarting and VPU recovery issues on ATI cards. So I'm sorry but you can't overclock while playing San An.
