Mr.Stevo
Just a now...a file open up a in my PC....im not sure what its called but along the lines of WinZip,WinRar or some kind of self extracter said "CCProxy"....Which I ended up with an expression on my face "What the f*ck?". A few seconds later my IM(AIM) signed off by it self and then went on again. When "it" went on, it automaticly started sending IMs to everyone with some kind of link, then it IM my self saying this. PLEASE DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK kenivo456: thats a cool picture kenivo456. kenivo456: who is this? kenivo456: who is this? This is really strange then I start talking to my friend friend carmen and that it happend to her also...its started sending IMs and stuff to the all the people that are online. Carmen: ok i clicked on a link that sayd "lokd" by accident and it sent this link to my whole buddy list Carmen: i ono whut happnd Carmen: thas y i signed off kenivo456: what the hell...! Carmen: wayt !!!! Carmen: h/o Carmen: yoh0 sent me that link ! Carmen: thas y i sayd which picture Carmen: lol Carmen: ughhh im confuzZled Then it keeps repeating the sign on & off thing. On the tray bar, where all those mini icons to the right bottom of the screen, theres a blank icon, invisible, that its called "CCProxy". I right click on it and it says "Dial-Up, Disconect". Disconect option has been already check-marked, but not by me, it came like that. Now of course, I have run scans and stuff. I just did it Ad-Aware and all it just found is a tracking cookie and a MRU List which is harmless. It is still alive. Now, the big question is How do the hell you get rid of this? update: In task manager, the processes wont show up. When fire fox is up, I click on any window in the background of FF and it wont show up, so I have to minimize it.
Waste
You have a virus. Restart in safe mode and run a scan with your anti-virus. After you have run a scan with your anti-virus, scan with this: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ (To go to safe mode, restart your PC and right before the window's logo pops up, start pressing F8)
