Improving Game Performance PC

I was wondering how to improve game performance.

It depends on what hardware you have.

Check your PC for viruses, adware, registry errors, file errors(scandisk).

If it finds anything fix it.

 

Then check if your HDD is in DMA mode and not PIO.

Make sure you have enough space on the HDD to install the game. You have to have a lot of space.

 

Install newest drivers for motherboard, sound, video, DVD firmware, etc

 

Then install the game. Make a full install and not a partial one.

 

After that install 1.01 patch. Do not use crack for no-cd.

 

Now defrag HDD.

 

Before you run the game, turn off antivirus, adware programs, firewall etc. Log out of the internet if you turn off the firewall.

 

Now run the game. Then according to your hardware set the settings. But dont turn on antialising (AA) and mip-map. Dont touch it. Put graphics to LOW at first, and draw distance to minimum, and 800x or 1024x resolution. Use 32 bit and not 16 bit. Turn frame limiter ON. Now try to play. Then play with the settings until you find the right ones. If at any time the game dont run anymore, delete gta_Sa.set file in my documents/gtasa user files folder(but remember if you delete the .set file, the settings will be reset to stock settings.

 

Try to do all those steps before you run it. Hope it has any effect.

there is prog called "riva tuner", fx video card owners use it to disable something with the shaders to improve perofrmance ,thats the only program i konw about.

 

if ure using an ati card u can also download omega drivers ,many people find them better performers than stock catalyst drivers.
