wha da da- Last night i was at one of my high school football games and walked around the feild 15 times looking for orange caps. i even went dumpster diving and bleacher climbing after the game. i collected 223 caps. i entered them all for the 1:10 AM drawing and didn't win anything!!!! i think i should win just for effort. CURSE U MD, PEPSI, AND SERRIA MIST

Sounds like you put too much effort into it. If you put that much effort into a job or work, you'd have plenty of money for it. Of course you'd still have to hope you go one on the day it comes out.

Haha, yeah. You could've spent that time applying for a job. It's not hard to earn $400 for the 'nice' xbox360 package.

 

Let's do some math.

 

$400 is the price for the 'premium' 360 package:

 

Minimum wage is 5.15 in Missouri. I'll say $5.25 for the sake of simplicity, and the fact that different states have different minwages.

 

So $5.25 an hour.

 

I'll assume tax is relatively high (6.5%)

 

So 400 x 1.065 = $426.

 

Four hundred twenty six dollars.

 

426 / 5.25 = 81.15 (about).

 

So you're looking at 81.15 hours of work.

 

Some more math:

 

360 Release Date: Thanksgiving Day, 2005. That's exactly two months and one day from now. Now I'm lazy, so let's say thats 61 days. If you can get a job at McDonalds this weekend, then you've got 59 days to save 426.

 

81.15 hours / 59 days = 1.3 hours of work a day.

 

So you better get cracking. I didn't even include paycheck taxes.

I got me a job that pays 5.25 an hour and I get about 15 to 20 hours a week. I thought about saving money to get a PSP. But then again, I gotta have gas money and a little money for food.

I still live with my parents, but I drive to the university everyday, it's not too far, and I stay there all day due to ridiculously long spaces b/t classes. The food is a little expensive sometimes.

 

I meant money to waste on eating at buffets. I could just eat $0.50 snacks that they sell at the U.I.T. office in the Computer Science building.
