iM1SNEAKYSNAKESOKALI
I can move my player right, left, forward, backward and even at an angle. But how do I change facing? In some other games you use w, s, a and d to do the foward and backwards and to the sides and use the arrow keys to change facing.
Knife
You have to use the mouse.

Demarest
You have to use the mouse. His topic title is about Classic controls, where a mouse is unusable. Whereby gorilla is correct, along with Num8 and Num5. I don't know if these are default or the only way.
iM1SNEAKYSNAKESOKALI
Thanks guys. I figured it out. You just use the arrow keys and if you want to turn just keep moving and hit the left or right arrow keys depending on how long you hold l and r down is how much you turn in the required direction. Simple, once you know how to do it.
iM1SNEAKYSNAKESOKALI
Sorry, Demarest, didn't mean to slight you. I didn't look at who had replied. Might have known you would answer you have helped with every other request I've made. Enough buttering up. Another question, Using the administrator console how do you call it up in the game? I know at one time but have forgot. I went to esc. and tried to call it up with the tilde key (~) couldn't get it to work. I know it will be something simple. Duh.... Demarest
The shortcuts tab of the Admin Console. You can set any attribute of any function to any key and can enable and disable it.
iM1SNEAKYSNAKESOKALI
Sorry, I didn't make my question clear enough. What I mean is how do you access it from within the game. Like you access the menus for the game by pressing the esc key. And you access the cheats by accessing the menu then typing in the cheat and press enter. Demarest
There's no menu in game. Do as I said in my above post and then when you're in game, just press the hotkey (combo) that you've assigned to whatever. Yes this means you shouldn't use keys that you have assigned to something in-game and yes this means you'll just have to memorize stuff.

iM1SNEAKYSNAKESOKALI
Thanks Demarest. I figured it out. Hit ctrl and esc back to desk top and then open the Admin console. Simple like I said, once you figure it out.
Pump Bumper
just out of curiosity..why would anyone with a keyboard and mouse go with classic controls? are you using a gamepad or something? i, and my gta3 playing friends, highly prefer using the mouse. iM1SNEAKYSNAKESOKALI
The reason I was wanting to use classic controls was just for the auto-aim feature. You have to admit that aiming with the mouse is a little slow if you have multiple enemies to fight off. But, I have also went back to standard control because for me it is so much more natural and so much easier to move my character around.
