fox09
Well, to me, both are really starting to get old. I've started watching Futurama a lot more.
unholypie
Well I think that The Simpsons is amazing and I will never stop watching it. The only thing I liked about Family Guy was the movie.
-shaDow
This is one of those questions that will plague mankind until the end of time. I grew up with The Simpsons so it's got a lot of sentimental value for me, while Family Guy on the other hand is relatively newer for me but still cracks me the f*ck up every episode. Still, it's not a very easy comparison. I'd rank Futurama above the newer Simpsons and just about on the same level as the old.
*Mr.GTA*
Family guy is much better with all the flashbacks and stuff, I think The Simpsons lost their way by the 90's because they aren't funny anymore.
papanesta
"Simpson's did it!" It's a tough one. Family Guy is bloody excellent. But I don't know, The Simpsons are absolutely classic. Hmmm...
tuff_luv_capo
Family guy is actually funny. Simpsons now is like watching Golden Girls.

Saggy
Usually the humor The Simpsons tries to pull off now day is trite and old. I mean, they've been doing the same act for 15 seasons. If I'm not mistaken, Homer has made two transitions from idiot to genious, hasn't he? I mean, the plot-line seems to constantly run over itself. Some people complain about Family Guy's writing structure, but nearly every role of the Simpson family has stayed consant for the past years, and it's getting very stale. I remember when I was 8 it was pretty funny, but now it's just f*cking old. Futurama should've continued on for longer in the place of The Simpsons. Family Guy is funny purely for its randomness. Not only that, but the characters do acquire new personalities. Notice how in the last few seasons, Stewie hasn't tried nearly at all to kill Louis, and has mostly just been an idiot? They change the show up. The structure of the writing is kind of odd, though. The episodes usually start out with one plot-line, and then through some unusual twist, turn into something else. I've seen some episodes do it two or three times. QUOTE (K^2) ...not only is it legal for you to go around with a concealed penis, it requires absolutely no registration! Smurf You
This is an often asked question. I have traditionally voted Family Guy, however I admit I haven't watched the Simpsons in a few years. To give them a somewhat fair chance, I watched the Simpsons on TV yesterday. They play it often and I saw it 3 times in one day. From what I could tell they were older episodes. Didn't laugh once. After conducting this experiment I can safely and whole-heartedly vote Family Guy.

gta_player5
I feel like alot of you do in some ways, that the Simpsons are getting stale, but i still think its funny. In my opinion they should end the season either after this year or next year and end it with a Simpsons movie.
Soul Survivor
I like both of them, but I like Family Guy more just because it has a better script. Its just my opinoin.
Venom
I like Family Guy more, mainly because it's based at an older audience, they canget away with so much more...and nothing can beat Stewie. Or the Monkey.

da gta master
I will have to say Family Guy, everytime I see and episode I laugh at every joke, because I havent seen the episode before. Ive seen almost every single Simpsons episode that is being shown on Terrestrial TV so Simpsons is quite boring. And yes they do run out of ideas. In my opinion they should end the season either after this year or next year and end it with a Simpsons movie. Eh, that's what they're doing: Click here As for the whole Family guy versus The Simpsons argument, the old Simpsons episodes are in my opinion the best sitcom that TV has ever seen. The new episodes however are poor and have become obsessed with slapstick humour and Homer's idiocy. They are a far cry from the multi-layered award winning episodes when the Simpsons was in its heyday. So, yeah Family Guy is better than the Simpsons at the moment. Amazing how many people are complaining about old episodes of The Simpsons being shown over and over - I personally can't get enough of those classic episodes. Sometimes the jokes are funnier when you know they're coming.
mjndrum
I like both of them. It's kind of hard to choose. But based on funny factor, Family Guy takes the cake. -mjndrum

The only real gripe I have about Family Guy is the jokes get amazingly stale after the third watch, and around these parts they only ever show the first 2 seasons. And older episodes of The Simpsons were actually relevant. Randomness can only go so far.
Rain Ocampo
Neither. The Simpson has become really stupid now, as someone said before; they really should have ended it years ago. But the early series are hillarious, it's still very funny even after seeing a fair few times. I never got into Family Guy, I saw a few episodes of it and didn't really think much of it, but I guess my opinion would change if I watched more of them. Personally I'd rather watch a show like Daria than either of these.
_-playero-_
I've seen some of the episodes of Season 16 of the Simpsons... This season is way better than the last one... but yeah, Homer is a f*cking retard now...... I you see the first season, he is kind of smart sometimes... I haven't watched any new episodes of Family Guy so I can't really judge it, but from the episodes I've watched, IMO The Simpsons is still better.... Mafia Drive Gunner
I like Family Guy more, mainly because it's based at an older audience, they canget away with so much more...and nothing can beat Stewie. Or the Monkey. But you can't forget the squid that features in that episode where Peter gets the boobie lump. That was a golden gag. Well, I have always been a fan of the simpsons, but over the last few months I have started watching Family Guy, and it is much funnier. It has some hilarious scripts and gags. I occasionally giggle at the Simpsons now, but Family Guy gives me a big hearty laugh everytime, even watching the same episode over and over. -MDG
StallionGT
Definately Family Guy, it feels new and more into time than The Simpson. I used to watch The Simpson all the time, now I'm more into watching Family Guy and maybe American Dad. I still watch some of the simpsons episodes, but they aren't as good as the classics. - Stallion GT

original gangster
The simpsons win my vote, and they always will. Though I do love the humour in family guy, but I haven't seen an episode in ages now, they're hardly ever on. And I do like old and new episodes of the simpsons. The old ones are classics, and are great to watch the really old ones 'cause you remember that time ages ago when you first saw the episode and thought it was hilarious. -OG
