VCNMaverick
Hi, i'm new here, and I was wondering, is it confirmed that there is a unique jump glitch? If so, is there any known solution besides restarting? Only ONE unique jump is stopping me from getting 100%
Justin
Yes, there is an (a?) unique jump glitch. However, this glitch pertains to the slow motion cut not ending. I believe you are talking about a glitch which doesn't allow you to successfully complete one of the 36 jumps, and thus never be able to obtain 100% completion statistics. As far as I know, such a glitch does not occur - and if it does, it does with little regularity. If you are on PS2, I suggest you re-do every unique jump, so as to make sure you've completed each one correctly and successfully. Use a guide from GameFAQs if you need to find the location of each jump. If you are on PC, check out 'Wanderlust' and 'Ancestral Recall' from Demarest's Vice City Code Tools page. You can read up on these two tools here and here. [EDIT] Also check out this topic. Spuds knows his stuff, so it's more than likely going to be of some assistance. Demarest
To resonate most of what Fuzzy said, a glitch where you remain in the locked slo-mo cam exists while one that prevents completing all jumps does not. Ancestral Recall will only tell you you have a jump left, which you already know. Wanderlust would complete it for you, no questions asked. Also on my site, in the fixes section, is an actual code FIX for the unique jump glitch. It avoids locking you into the slo-mo cam by never initiating it. My schedule is subject to change at any time pretty much all the time anymore. However, I'm currently scheduled sunday and monday off. At that time, releasing Uniquecall is my primary goal and I'm only about an hour or two away from completion. It will serve as a multi-purpose Unique Jump tool, but it's primary role will be to point out which jumps you're missing. If you check the Save N Play thread, you'll see that my prototype has already identified 3 jumps. If you want to post your save there, I can run it through. Or you can check it out in a day or so when its released to the public
Spuds725
The missing package and missin jump glitches are rumors-- I've never encountered these so I can't confirm they exist. My first time through VC (on PS2) I had 2 jumps and 2 packages I couldn't find-- I resolved both of them by starting a new game-- 1. to search through all the packages to make sure I was looking in the right spots-- (I wasn't and found them by looking further). 2. to figure out which jumps were hard to register and to figure out how to make them register. For both of these, I spent <1 hour each figuring out which ones were missing.... other then Dem's mods, these are really the only ways of figuring out what you are missing.... I personally don't believe that either "missing" glitch exists-- you just have to be persistant and systematic. Hopefully you are on PC and Dem's mod can help you. Also, in case you haven't played it yet, SA-- has the same issues for jumps-- you can't tell which you have completed or not-- would have been an easy fix (to me) to give you a little message if you have completed a jump correctly before... I guess they had enuf complaints about jumps and Rockstar did not require jumps for 100% in SA-- for that matter there is alot that doesn't count for 100% in SA-- technically 100% in SA is about 90% Spuds' GTA V 100% Checklist // My IV & Vice City Videos "I want to design a video game where you take care of all the people shot in all the other video games.... In SA, they made th process like the Rampages of VC and GTA3 whereby instead of tracking your progress, they just feed a bunch of numbers into the engine and the engine does all the tracking. VCNMaverick
Too bad i'm on PS2... But at least I know the glitch doesn't exist. Thanks guys.
Peeranoia
i have one hidden f*cking package left and went through this map sh*t like twice an never found it... anyone have tips on a btter way to go through them or a better way to find them? or ones that are usuallly really hard to find i didnt feel like making a new thread so, mods, please do something with this if you dont like where it is
VCNMaverick
My suggestion is to look at the hidden package pictures on g-unleashed.com, while going through EVERY hp, and crossing off the ones you're sure you have collected on a printed map. Worked for me.
Spuds725
Its ok to post to a previous topic if you have a same/similar problem.... I pretty much agree with the above-- you should go through with a map that has pics of where the packages are physically-- so you can verify you are looking in the correct spot. I verified this in my game I mentioned above by starting a new game and going through the list until i came to one I couldn't find (where I looked before) and then looking a little bit harder til I found it. If on PS2 there is supposedly a missing package glitch and a method to correct it... I'm not positive it exists but it wouldn't hurt to do this (only takes a few minutes)... Remove your memory card, power down the PS2. Turn it back on and let VC start up... click through the cutscenes... when you have control of tommy, Pause, insert your memory card, load your saved game-- supposedly this will reset missing items (It did work for a rampage that disappeared for someone recently)... More then likely you are just looking in slightly a wrong spot-- one of the ones I couldn't find was the one right behind the Malibu club-- its not in the lot behind the malibu--- its actually in a little space between the lot and the building--- I know of at least one other person that couldn't find it and that was the one.... the other one I missed was behind Phils place near the water-- you can't see it if viewing from the east--- you have to be south or over the water (its behind a little Pylon right next to the water.).... juanda2
to ALL people having trouble with the jumps: there is no GLITCH... no matter how many times you THINK you have gone over the jumps again and again... you must actually SEE THIRTY-SIX BIG blue messages saying UNIQUE STUNTS ... specially in stunts that are double (behind cortez and in the southern east p&s)... GritSandWiches4Breakfest
LOL, three months ago I had this problem and did them all over again only to find it was the one behind the big signs at the airport I missed. Peeranoia
damn i have four jumps left and i know that two of them are the ones at cortez's ship. Unique Jumps Map from G-unleashed is what i have been using and i find that jump number nine on this map is very hard... like ive tried it so many times and ive got the unique stunt camera thing to trigger but i dont get the bonus and im sure i havent gotten this one and i have done it the way where you land on top an just go really high throught the alleyway thanks guys, to those who help/helped EDIT: now i have 1 jump plus the two dock jumps left, so does anyone think it might be number nine on the map thats messing me up? are there any jumps that are really hard to register eeven if the slow mo cam comes on? Justin
Are you on PC? If so, use Demarest's Uniquecall v1. It'll tell you exactly what you're missing and exactly how to complete the jump successfully. If on PS2, the best advice would really have to be to keep on trying. If it comes to it, re-do every jump. Don't stop one until you're satisfied you've completed it according to the guidelines in a guide or whatnot. It'd be best to keep at jump '9' (according to that guide you linked to), if you're pretty sure that's the one. Check out a few different guides (google for them) and see what each one says about completed each jump.
Peeranoia
good lookin fuzzy, yeah im on ps2. ill try some other guides an see what they say. EDIT: OKAY I GOT AL THE JUMPS!!! Demarest
I wonder if anybody would be willing to fire it up and take pics of all the spheres and host them so that PS2 users can also benefit from the "go here" funciton of Uniquecall. Peeranoia
damn dem, you know if i that last jump was gonna be driving me crazy for a longer time i was gonna request or see if someone has done that. while im in this thread does anyone had any tips for PCJ playground, RC bandit, Ambulance missions, Firetruck missions, and the pizza buy missions. (i really want 100 percent an thats all i need!!!!) and this thread is pretty alright !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!TO NOT MAKE ANOTHER POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! alright now all i have is pizzaboy and paramedic.. i willl try what you said spuds all though i have triedd paramedic missions from ocean beach a couple of time oh yeah and i havent been counting taxi missions because im kinda saving them last so i know i definitly got everything done thanks for the help guys Edited December 15, 2005 by Peeranoia
Spuds725
most people find it easiest to do pizzaboy and paramedic in vice point-- I prefer paramedic in ocean beach but thats me.... really no advice other then practice-- for paramedic and pizzaboy-- plan out you routes to minimize back tracking. Also for firefighter-- you can aim and rotate the turret-- I didn't know this the first time I played--made it a bit harder but I still passed it.... also tape down your water button so you can concentrate on driving---one less button to push Spuds' GTA V 100% Checklist // My IV & Vice City Videos "I want to design a video game where you take care of all the people shot in all the other video games.... Justin
I wonder if anybody would be willing to fire it up and take pics of all the spheres and host them so that PS2 users can also benefit from the "go here" funciton of Uniquecall. Hell, I'll do it. Images are hosted with Photobucket at the moment - I don't have a better source, so if anyone wants to put them up themselves, feel free to do so. Also, if anyone wants a zipped folder with all the images in it (named 01 - 36), PM me and I'll sort it out via email. I've done the jumps in the numerical order they are in Uniquecall. I'm sure there's instructions somewhere out there telling you how to get to where each jump is located, and if not, the radars on the screenshots should be enough anyway. I started a new game so as not to miss any jumps. I took the screens from the place where you leave the ground and begin being airbourne, except for a few select cases where I felt that that position was simply not good enough - hence the 'close-up's. Some of the screens may be a bit dark/too light, but I feel they're all fit for the purpose. Any problems, just say. Obviously, this would be better suited in a pinned topic, but I'll put it here for the time being. All images are in JPEG format, between roughly 60-110KB in size. ..... Justin
You're welcome guys. Truth be told, my girlfriend left this morning for Austria, so I've got nothing better to do than kill the morning of the third day of my holidays taking screenies. Dem, I've upped the zipped file at RapidShare (sorry, couldn't really find a better free host). You can grab it here. If any problems arise, PM me and we'll sort it out.
