how do i get a server running a modded version

well ive always liked vice city deluxe

and i would love to be able to host a server for it through vc-mp

how do i do this???

vice city deluxe is a mod to make the cars real

and everything is lovely high rez

 

how do i mod the server/client so it works??

 

when i try to connect to a regular server obviously it wont let i get the crc32 checksum failed default ide thingy

so how do i make it so i can have a server that only allows people with vc deluxe to join

it is a lovely lookin mod and id love to use it

Use 0.1d ver for lcmp and rename vc-mp.scm to lc-mp.scm..

well ive got it workin and yeah it was no prob at all

altho ive noticed one small flaw

 

the teleports to the inside of the buildins dont work

normally that wunt be a problem

but ya cant see where ya are inside the vercetti mansion

 

is there a way to fix this???

It will allow any mod, theres no crc check

well is there any way to add a crc check and make it check for vcd1.0

or any other sort of anti cheat i can run serverside??

 

all i need to do is alter the ini and its gonna be ready to kick ass

Well if you take the source from .1c you can in theory do what you want.. if you know how to do it

well yeah but i cant code for sh*t

tbh i think im gonna add another mod on top of the vice city delux

there's just a couple o things id like to iron out

example ...the skin of the chopper has been changed to a hot air baloon and ya still get in like a normal chopper and it handles the same

i think id like to put it bak to a chopper

obviously a better than standard one

 

but there's a few things like that id like to iron out

but if any1 knows how to add a crc check for vcdver1.0 then ya knows its for the greater good

Could do but it would then be custom ver and only people with your flt would be able to connect...

 

Also could add new features for you..

 

Btw i haven't forgoten you with my config just debugging atm..

well i reckon if some1 is willing to download and install vice city deluxe

im sure they'll be more than willing to download a "vc-mp deluxe" to play it

lets face it its only the same as lc-mp

as long as it works in singl player then the multiplayer shouldnt be a problem

well im glad to be of assistance

altho im a little confused about yer screenshots

when ya get on a pcj600 it should say gsxr 1000

and the buildin in the back should be different

 

also i thought i got rid of all the hot air balloons

if ya could show me how to replicate these anomalies im sure i can elp sort em out

edit:: ive since found out off driver i did'nt remove all the balloons so if ya wonna play with one theres a balloon at the army barracks

 

is there any chance of gettin propper support for this??

just i have noticed a couple o small errors that only pop up in this

and if ya could figure out how to fix it id much appreciate it

 

as soon as scripts get included and weapon pickups this is gonna truly rule
