thugofliberty
hi everyone... everytime I put in a burnt CD into my Xbox it doesn't read the disk... I just got the Xbox used a week ago... but when I had mines from the month it first came out, the one that I got COULD read burnt CDs... anyone know whats going on? Everytime I put in a burnt CD is just says that it can't recognize the disk and to make sure it's a game, DVD movie, or audio CD... wtf... and all the disks I have are finalized so that any basic CD playing device should read them.... sate
Well are you burning them correctly, as audio CDs? And do they work on your CD player, because yes then something would be wrong

GTA3Freak-2001
You've probably got the Thompson DVD Drive which doesn't allow burnt audio CD's to be read, in that case you should be able to burn audio to a CD-RW and then it works. Well mine works like that anyway.

Opius
Don't expect your Xbox to read any burnt CDs. That way you'll be pleasantly surprised when it does and won't be disappointed when it doesn't. If you want to put MP3s on your Xbox for use on soundtracks and you've got a modded Xbox, search for a program called 'Xbox Soundtrack Editor'. It can do it straight over the network, no CDs required.

Cran.
I've got a Phillips (I know from when I opened my Xbox to look at my crappy 120gb samsung hdd that f*cked up), and it reads everything i've tried. CD-RW, CD-R, DVD-R. So, lucky it didn't get the Thompson
