No bikes, No heliscopters, no full winged dod, fidos real name (also for SA), you cant buy properties.

basically, what im trying to say, a good GTA3 would be GTA3, VC, annd SA combined into one game. except for the eating dating, dancing etc etc etc. but it all took place in liberty city.

well i should have said dont compare to VC and SA. As if you just finished this 100% for the first time and never played VC or SA. Not like what should be in but like what went wrong

For me, buying properties never did anything for me in the first place.

The only thing I could "complain" about GTA3 was that missions could be sealed. True it makes the game more hardcore and gives it some replay value, but it was a bit too brutal on most people that toiled through the game and later decided they wanted 100%. Same could be said for gang hatred. All in all, I'm glad they're the way they are. Just requires a bit too much forethought as to whether or not you want to play to 100%

To me I thought the money was a bit of a waste because you never really spent anything good on it besides just weapons and ammo. It was a let down because I wanted to have the ability to spend your cash on property, safe houses, gang protection and many more. Also another thing I didn't like was probably what everyone hates is that you can't enter any great buildings in this game which I wish Rockstar could have brought in to the game because it adds a bit more detail to Liberty City and looks really cool to enter cool houses.

The whole buying properties thing only works for for Vice City, where you're supposed to take over the city just like in the Scarface movie. I don't thing all GTAs need that feature. As for bad things in GTA 3 there are a few..most of them were improved in Vice City. I'm talking about shooting tires, jumpin out of the speeding car stuff like that. Also GTA 3 kind lacked style compared to Vice City were there was a definite 80's action movie vibe going on with all the music and stuff.

Except this isn't a movie wink.gif I have to disagree because even with SA's breathtaking landscapes, I still don't feel anything beats GTA3's ambience.

I see GTA III as Rockstar's good first try at a 3-d game, let alone a GTA game. Its the best made game as for as glitches go. The missions are great, a lot of them more challenging than in the other two games. The storyline is also amazing. I've heard this said before, the grittiness of Liberty City makes it the best fit for the series.

It's hard not to compare it to the other games. The later games had features that they either couldn't do technically or time-wise in III. It's not that there's anything bad about GTA III. Rockstar just improved on the series since then.

I couldnt agree more. I love the ambience and style of Liberty City.

Liberty City has such a feel to it, which Vice City and SA cant beat. Im over the moon that another game is being released based there. I have always had a sh*t comp so I never got the GTA's on PC, so Liberty City Stories will finally give me the chance to use bikes there. tounge.gif

I dont really have any crictisisms of GTA3. Its my favourite GTA, and the feeling I get when I play it opens up so many memories, and it being set in Liberty City makes it all the more better.
