ONE YEAR ON FROM GTA:SA

I thuroughly enjoy the game, but it still has a few issues.

For one thing, I read about the AI system, and R* was talking about how every ped would have a brain that makes them react more realistically to situations they are put in. However, as we all know, the AI is still sh*t!

There are bugs here and there, and not all of the game's features are used to their full capacity (mod shops, basketball, the skate park) but if I had to guess, I'd say it was probably because R* was under pressure to release the game by a certain time.

All in all, I still love the game! No other copy cat, open world, "me too" game pulls off what GTA has been able to achieve. Quite simply, the game rocks!

Very happy and very much entertained rah.gif But very sad too because I enjoyed the game so much it felt like it went on too short eventhough there're tons of things to do. smile.gif

It felt like you don't want to stop and that everytime you go out of the house and roam around the cities, something might come up or that you'll find some things you never noticed before.

original gangster

I love it.

however, When reading about it, i was excited and wanted it now. And now that i've got it, meh, it's just another game to add to the pile.

still a great game though, and the stuff to do on the forums(like SSR, contests...) i can keep playing it.

I got the PS2 version at the realease, bought the PC version later, and I'm still playing it and enjoying it. that says enough about the game.

GTA3leading man

i enjoyed it but a few months later it was just a vice city on steroids they added a few new features but the new features are pretty half assed and the city is bigger but has no detail

The amazing thing about GTA games is they fit so much other games into one. Like, dating, buying, driving, first shotter, 3d action, story, pool, gangs, interiors, aliens, jetpack, weapons, food, ect. And the glitches arn't all by acsident. Rockstar is well known for there glitched and secrets. SA has the no eastereggs sign, the hidden interiors in the sky, the heavens, hidden vehicles. Rockstar Rock! GTA games have never been beten in gaming. Tha games are amazing. Rockstar has become very popular from the GTA games, i just hope the don't stop making them.

As for the game itself. It was a lot of fun. I remeber the first time i loaded it up. What a great feeling. I played it 20/7 for 4 months before i started buying other games. I bought a PS2 just so i could play SA first. Not have to wait for it to come out on PC. Even though i have it on that now too. GTA RULEZ!

Sorry to double post, but what do you mean by add-on mission. I know of 2 mission that have been removed from the game but not of a add-on mission release. Do you mean Rockstar will be releasing it or it is a mod being made?

It hasn't been a year.

I thought so. Isn't it in about a month? I don't know when it came out.

Anyway, I'm keeping my SA that's rated M for future references....you know?

OK...hehe

You're banner is spelled wrong. I thought it was me for a moment...damn!

BLS is coming to our town soon! Anyway, I bought it in OCt and still have games I moved away from so I could attempt things in different orders. Most of my progress saves are about the same. Still working on collecting everything...hehe

One horseshoe, for instance, is still missing and making me insane!

I just bought my third PS2 card and it was used from a pawn shop and trying it out with my SA game, it turned out to have 2 or 3 saved games, all maxed with cash reserves and listing cheats (400+!!!) as activated (and saved I guess) I am playing them anyway to try my hand at past missions and enjoying the cutscenes again. I did this with 3 and VC as well, no surprise!

I do think it is funky to go back and find missing features hard to cope with. Each time, the added features have been pretty beneficial. Look at the lighting affects and the water, for example. The cloud graphics are excellent. (Socom's sky is worth noting as well) The rotating analog control of view is sadly lacking from Vice and GTA3 but taken from the PC versions' mouse control...Nice

Grand Theft Grandpa

SA was good enough to make me forget about VC, the same way VC made me forget about all videogames that ever existed before it. So yeah, SA ruled, IMO. I hope GTA4 is good enough to make me forget about SA.
