niteangel´
I downloaded a game (that I PAYED for!, so no warez) but now I have 2 .cue files and 2 .bin files. How can I play the game ? It looks like the .bin files are supposed to be burned on a cd, because they're both about 650mb.
Tornado Rex
This is pretty much as border-line warez as it gets...but whatever. The .cue connects to the .bin. Basically the .cue just points the mounting software to the .bin You can either mount the .cue with a program like Daemon Tools or burn a CD with it using Nero (I'm pretty sure). ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~
niteangel´
Thx for helping . Yes it's warez, BUT I payed for the game. But I lost my second cd, I searched for 5 days So I payed for it, so I'm not stealing from the company, do I? +it was released in 1997, (GTA2 was like released in 1999 and Rockstar gives it away for free) Imo, I'm not stealing from the company because I already paid for the game. I would buy it again for like 5€, but I even can't buy it anywhere. So it looked like the only solution to me .
Bond996
I reccomend editing your post immediately. That is still illegal, and against forum rules. No, I'm not being a nazi, just stating the rules.
Edwards
You paid for it, ergo, you have a right to use it. Bollocks to EULAs. Do whatever you damn well want. Better yet, do what Rex says: You can either mount the .cue with a program like Daemon Tools or burn a CD with it using Nero (I'm pretty sure). sysnode.org
Knightmare
I use Alcohol 120% instead of Daemon tools, and it's pretty easy. Download the trial of Alcohol 120%, and in the options make a few virtual drives (if you want to save CD's). Mount the cd1 .cue onto one of these virtual drives, and it should pop up just like you put the cd in. Install it, and when it asks for disc 2, minimize and go to Alcohol, select the same drive you mounted disc 1 on, and mount disc 2. Go back to the installation and click continue. Otherwise, most cd-burning software will be able to burn a CD from the .cue files. Open up Nero or whatever you have, find Burn CD from Image/IMG file, and then select the .cue files to burn. Wolf68k
Knightmare, not to knock your suggestion, A120 is a great program and all and I use it to copy my CDs for back up, but as you stated "trail version". DaemonTools is completely free and will do exactly what he needs. A120 trail will end after a set time leaving him stuck unable to mount or unmount (correctly) the image, plus it'll leave the virtual drive around until he uninstalls A120. Knightmare
Ahh, I'm just not familiar with Daemon and have been using Alcohol since as far as I can remember. Thanks -shaDow
Wolf68k
DaemonTools does one thing and it does it well. Mount up to 4 virutal drives with images.
Devyl
ORRRRRRR you could just open the .bin file with win-iso and extract to a folder on your hard drive and install
Colotomy Headwind
ORRRRRRR you could just open the .bin file with win-iso and extract to a folder on your hard drive and install And waste 2x the space by holding the .bin/.cue itself and the data extracted from the .bin. Using A120/Daemon Tools to mount/burn/donkeypunch CD images is a great alternative to having a mass of files located somewhere on your harddrive. Plus, it's relatively simple. On-topic, can Daemon only do 4 virtual drives? Is it a trial or something? Fake edit: I just noticed you can highlight text and move it around to different parts of your reply, thats neat. I presumed that was part of the functionality of one of the Extensions I installed, never bothered looking or checking. Slightly on-topic: Personally, I use Alcohol 120% too. Yes A120 can do up to 6, but then you have to pay for that. You want more? Wolf68k
Not possible. You're only allowed drives letters from A to Z. However A and B are locked out and sololy for the floppy drive, I could be wrong on this there may be a way to use A and B if you don't have a floppy installed. C is usually taken up by your, well, C drive your OS. If you have a CD/DVD drive then there goes the D. So in truth you're left with E - Z, which leaves you with 21 possible drives.
