I can't make out some of the words in the trailer.

I just watched the Liberty City Stories trailer, and I couldn't quite make out some of the lines that I heard spoken. Could someone help me by clarifying what the characters are saying?

 

At one point, Miguel says,

 

"_____ is a nasty, nasty bedfellow."

 

It sounds like he's saying "Shoe Burst." I can't make it out.

 

At another point, a rude guy jabs Toni with his finger, and says "Remember, there's a hierarchy here, capische? Now, be a good ____!"

 

What was he saying? It sounded like it began with "Di."

 

Then, somewhere else in the trailer, a man says, "Meet my new partner...Mister ___."

 

It sounds like he's saying "Hit" or "Hip". Can anyone confirm exactly what it is?

 

Another time, Asuka is walking in her asian-style home in a bathrobe and saying,

 

"It is my honest wish...to destroy _______."

 

Is she saying "A man."? "America."? Or what?

man that trailer you all downloaded mustve had bad sound editing n coding, you should probably look for a betta sounding quality trailer, or get a betta download of a trailer n see if it makes any difference.

As far as the confusion is concerned with the first quote. He says "Hubris is a nasty, nasty bedfellow."

 

Hubris is a word of Greek origin meaning excessive pride. So essentially the guy is saying it's dangerous to be too prideful or arrogant.

 

As far as the other quotes, I can't say for sure. I'm at work and I don't currently have access to the trailer. I specifically remember the quote above because I thought the line was great. I'm constantly surprised at how good the writing is for the GTA games!

Most people think that he said the full name of his partner. It did sound like he said Mr. Hip," but its possible that thats not all he said. Perhaps what we hear is the "mi" sound in McAffrey.
