I changed monitor today. Upgraded from a standard crt monitor to a 20inch lcd screen.

Now im using resolution of 1600x1200 instead of 1024x768. Also im now using the digital output of my video card instead of the standard monitor one.

The game worked all day, then i installed the new screen and the game just doesnt run. Nothing happens. Can click a billion times on it if i want nothing happens.

How the what the?

Anyone know whats going on?

thanks in advance,

btw just for reference, other games do still work after the new screen was installed. Its just GTA that doesnt.

if you cant get in the game to change the resolution then i suggest uninstalling the game and then reinstall it, the only option that i can suggest

Or if you still have your old screen, then you can switch back to it and reduce your game resolution.

It's far from strange since you've changed a crucial peice of hardware that has a huge impact on the game in the form of the resolution so the game needs to re-evaluate the change. It's a good rule with GTA, if you replace anything you should really delete the gta_sa.set file so the game can make the best of the changes.
