Duders
I was just bored, so I decided to brrowse around the Holden website since I have never been there. There I noticed it had a Caprice. At first, I thought that it was probraly going to be based to the new Impala with an Ute engin in it, but This turned out to be quite a surprise. It may not seem wierd to you aussies but since the Caprice was discontinued here, there hasn't really been any suitable replacement. This sedan in particular has a 5.7L V8 with RWD. The design looks really outstanding in terms of elegance. The interior looks as if it is made with finer materials. This car is supposedly the most expensive car in the Holden lineup and it does for about $74,000 AUD I think. Looks great though and cerrtainly deserves the Caprice name. I would be great if this was a chevy and was avaliable in America. What do you guys think? -duders

Cran.
Basicly, the Caprice is the sport/mega-luxury version of the Statesman... and the Statesman is a LWB version of the Holden Commodore (Gotta love the many versions holden brings out on one platform, hehe).Yeah, I love the Caprice, it's damn nice. If you like that, have a look at the HSV Grange, which has the new chevy GenIV 6.0L with 297kW/400HP. It's also got a body kti and all, which makes it alot different from the Statesman/Caprice. http://www.boostcruising.com/database/jour...ournalfile3.jpg edit: linked the picture for people with reselutions less than 1680x1050, I don't want to get warned again @V8 boy Huh? What the hell are you on about, it's a Holden, not a chevy Edited September 14, 2005 by Cran.
avito coleone
Ahh Aussie Cars! The caprice is an awesome model but not my Favourite in the holden line up. I know it has nearly all aspects of a car, with its sports/luxuary hybird feel. But I think its just trying to hard to compete with BMW's and Mercedes in Luxuary and is lacking in the sports area because of the weight My favourite holden cars are in no particular order, The HSV GTO, The HSV Senator, and the holden torana concept

GTA3Freak-2001
Yeah many Australian vehicles share similar model names like Ghia, Fairlane, Falcon, Caprice etc.
Duders
I honestly thought GM abandoned it's RWD program long ago. Either that, or they just didnt introdece it to the Americas because we're too obsessed with 4WD SUVs...Holden does have some great cars in their line-up though compared to Chevy USA. -duders
