I recently purchased a Chaintech AV-710 sound card and got it today...

Put it into a PCI slot, Disabled Onboard Audio, Restarted, Installed newest drivers....And get no sound...

Could someone help me out with this? im pretty sure i tried it all...i wonder if i should just send the card back.

Any help would be appreciated i have been searching the net for a few hours and cant find much help...ive tried all 3 PCI Slots and drivers from chaintech and from the useless cd it comes with and the manual is useless as well...and i do everything and it just doesnt play anything, but my onboard still worked after i pulled out the card and re-enabled onboard. THanks

Windows recognizes it? Not muted? Seems to be all properly installed in Windows? Selected as default out/in device? Programs(if applicable), are set to output to it?

Onboard still work?

Control pannel > sounds and audio devices > Audio tab

and make sure the sound card is selected as the main audio device
