Bob Ghengis Khan
I was trying to get a helicopter magnet mod to pick up all vehicles as easily as a securicar is, and I noticed that it was the only vehicle to have a comprules tag of 3f10. I tried applying it to the other cars labelled as "van" and "big," but it didnt have an effect on the magnet, the special property is set by the unique ID. What is the comprules tag used for? Can't turn up anything in searches Edited September 14, 2005 by Bob Ghengis Khan
xcronikx
the magnet cant be put on my editing the handling.cfg. You have to change either the main.scm or script. Someone already did that though. Just search or look on download sites. EDIT: ok never mind this post i read yours wrong. I thought u were trying to get a magnet without the mod. But obviously u have it.
BenMillard
The CompRules flag thing is a bit of a mystery to me. The mission script(s) tend to handle special things like magnets and vehicle specific missions like the paramedic, firefighting and vigilante. I assume that the mission script only checks for the Securica by the vehicles.ide number. Remember when you use the big crane in San Fierro to move stuff away from those bombs? The magnet isn't actually magnetic, that would be far too complicated to program. I expect it just attaches itself to an objects which have the ID defined in the mission script. This means you would need a mission script which made it look for other vehicle ID numbers. This is just an educated guess, though. You could try contacting the person who made the mod?
