GTA LCS New Screeny

Please dont flame me if this as already been posted, I did look for it, but couldnt find it

 

GamesRadar have posted their preview of GTA: LibertyCity Stories, and contains all the same screens as the Official Site & what IGN posted earlier, but I did find this screeny, that I havent seen anywhere else:-

I love that airport. I read somewhere that we wouln't be able to fly, but at least the planes should not be 'weak'.

Yep new screens, good find.

Those are amazing, these screens show that although there is not a lot of detail the graphics are really smooth, that whole new engine looks amazing

 

Notice the dirt on the Espanto proving that dirt is a feature on cars and won't wash off as some have speculated

Yes. The fact that the scripted planes didn't clip in GTA3 was weird. They should make them solid.

 

What exactly did R* say about flying? Does it leave any possibility for return of the cliped wing Dodo?

Well, in SA you didn't see dirt, so what to wash? In that Esperanto there is dirt, maybe that way Rockstar will pay' back the players. But hey, these are beta screens.

No. It's not this unsolid part used in cutscene in opening of GTA 3 (Ghost Town). It's Police Department in Portland.

That's Portland. The LCPD HQ is on the left (with the flag) and Joey garage can just be seen in the background.

As for the cars - I think the dirty one (second image) is an Esperanto.

The next one might be a Regina and the third one is an Idaho.

 

Why can't we see any of Staunton Island in the picture with the plane? We should have a good view of all the buidings across the water.

Draw distance maybe? It looks the right side of Francis Int'l isn't showing up, just the band where the windows are. I really don't know the technical side but thats my guess.

There is a smoke cloud in front of plane,that's way we can't see Stauton Island.

The plane in the first pic looks nice and well rounded, let's hope that it is solid unlike the GTA III planes.

 

@K^2: I'm praying for the clipped winged Dodo. I hope it's in there may be even harder to control on the PSP though .

I thought it was just a normal cloud in the sky. Anyway, the buildings would be mostly on the right where there isn't any cloud.

I think it probably is the draw distance or this is just a very early screen.

I always found found that picture odd and even thought it was fake at first. It doesn't seem to say anything new. It's only point is to show that large planes exist in the game - which we are almost certain can't be flown.

My guess is that it's the draw distance. If you look at that other screenshot of the Esperanto in front of the Portland police station. You can just see the L-train track, but most of the buildings and warehouses behind it you can't see at all.

 

Edit: Wouldn't it be crazy if they went back to this old map from GTA3? It was released around 2000 or something i believe. Since the airports on Staunton, it'd explain why you couldn't see buildings in the background
