Noise Problem.

Hell No..

Recommended Posts

Hey, yet another problem here. But this is like all the time. Whenever the PC has to run a program or game, or just is on for a long while, it gets really loud. I did record it, but my camera is not connecting. We have to most times, turn thesound on the TV up just to hear it over the PC. We have a Dell Dimenstion 4600. Maybe someone can help me find a good silencer I can use? If your wondering the heat of the HD for some reason, maybe that could be why, I dont know. But its 36C at the moment.

Thanks,

Helly.

Fell just because your temps are normal doesn't mean it can't be a fan problem.

It could also be the HDD..but 36C for a HDD temp reading is very good.

I've got a Dimension 4600 and it gets loud as f*ck too, especially when my brother plays The Sims on it- however, the temperatures never get worryingly high, so I think it could just be that it has crappy fans in it that get loud.. Although I have just noticed that the back of the case is basically entirely blocked by dust- I should probably do something about that tounge.gif

Hmm well its 38C now, but never seems to go about 40C. Anything I can do?

If "it" is the HDD that is getting up to 40C, you're fine. It's when "it" (the HDD) gets over 50C you need to start your worring.

So for now ignore "it" and worry about what is causing the noise...unless "it" is what is causing the noise.
