Raptomex Posted September 12, 2005 Share Posted September 12, 2005 I don't think it will be better than San Andreas but I do think it's gunna kick ass. I say that for several reasons. In GTA LCS it is believed you can buy outfits, not seperate clothing items, you cannot fly, you cannot swim, it is a strong belief that four-person drive-bys cannot be done, and eating is not a feature in the game. These are the newest features in the GTA series that were really the heart of San Andreas. Though, GTA LCS is gunna be awesome for several reasons as well. The remake of the city has everything GTA 3 had plus a little more, textures will look better, more detail in the buildings, better car reflections than any of the other GTA games, the graphics look a slight bit better especially with the characters (the face details are improved), in this version of Liberty City there are motorcycles, all the GTA 3 vehicles plus new vehicles have been added as well, the ability to enter interiors, and the main character speaks whereas in GTA 3 the main character was completely silent. Some people will prefer one over the other but I think it comes down to personal choice. SA had the most features, yet some people complained that this distracted them from the "true GTA gameplay". LCS will lack a lot of these extras but hopefully retain the feel of GTA and consentrate more on the characters, storyline and missions. Hopefully they will use the smaller game map to its full potential and include lots of new things to find like easter eggs, references, unique stunts and more. I'm not sure how good these interiors will be as there's no loading when entering. This leads me to believe they will all be like the pizza place in Vice City or the exisiting Leone Mansion & Ammu-Nations. I always liked the idea of returning to Liberty City, but I never felt it would work as a new console/PC game. Re-using a location seems like a cheap thing for Rockstar to do if they were getting desperate for fresh ideas. But for some reason it works for the PSP. The new handheld will give a whole new perspective on the city. Not only will there be some nice aesthetic improvements, new storyline and missions but the whole way of looking at and playing the game will change to suit its new format. I loved San Andreas and I hope I'll love this game too. Now that I've bought a PSP I hope they follow up with a few more GTA spin-off titles. It's not at full pace. The PS2 was at full speed, an still San Andreas was a bit disappointing. But I'll probably have more fun with LCS if I get it. All progress that the series has made since GTA3 has gone. (i.e you can't swim, can't do drivebys, can't ride BMXs). It's basically GTA: 3 plus your character can speak and ride a motorbike. THis game will not be better than San Andreas, infact it won't be better than Vice City. It might (just might) be slightly better than GTA3. Of course, SA is a lot better than GTA LCS and I think it'll be better than GTA VC. The story is what we are most looking forward to (well, its what i'm looking forward to) and I think R* is keeping its reputation of making these kick ass storylines. GTA3's story wasn't that great. It was too loose. Not every mission was very meaningful. SA did the best to give a feeling that you're actually doing something to help you progress in the story. Actually you can do drive-bys you gotta hold L1 pressed move around the camera with the analog and shoot with circle it was said in a magazine preview, browse around gtaportable.com and you can find it, also that nothing was said about BMX bikes maybe its in the game maybe its not. But on topic I think that the storyline will be much better than San Andreas storyline. Liberty City is my favourite city, I like Leone Mafia Familly and beautiful Shorside Vale with Francis International Airport. It will be the best GTA in respect of stotryline and location. LCS doesn't have as many gameplay features like flying, swimming etc. But I think it will defnitely be better than GTA III, by a long shot. PigManDan Posted September 22, 2005 Share Posted September 22, 2005 have you seen the trailer? it looks sick. it looks basically like a film trailer, properly interesting and well made. san andreas's trailer was a bit crap in comparison. in my opinion, anyway. i think san andreas was too full of itself, with all it's fancy features and stuff. this game will kick arse. end of.
