station 0
I didn't think they would have as good of a record than last year, but after they bent over and spanked Detroit..I'm starting to watch them more often. (I'm more of a football fan than basketball, but I can't stop myself from watching a few games).
Soul Survivor 0
No, you can't just make a few judgements just because they beat detriot. There's other teams like Denver, Clippers there looking good this year, and really the two teams that might tkae there spot.
station 0
You must've misread my post or something. I wasn't making any "judgements". I was simply stating that I don't watch the Mavericks as much as I used to. I wasn't saying, "Dallas is going to win the championship this year..don't even bother having the Finals." woodprior383 0
So is anyone buying the Clippers? I think they are a damn good team this year and their performance so far is not a fluke.
station 0
So is anyone buying the Clippers? I think they are a damn good team this year and their performance so far is not a fluke. I'm not only because I highly doubt their success will last through the whole season. I'm not saying they won't get into the playoffs, but I doubt they would be a big postseason threat. I like some of their players though...
gta_player5 172
i pick them to come out of california, then the lakers.
station 0
I'm skeptical this year, but maybe just because it's so early in the season. I just feel like some team that nobody expects will end up winning the championship. Gut feeling..who knows. If Detroit gets in the finals again I am going to murder someone (even if they did lose last season). I hate me a dynasty.

station 0
New York Knicks? What is their record? Last time I checked they were sucking..unless they went on a big winning streak.
BigGamer 11
The Wizards are sucking. Why do I have to use this smilie so much? I'll tell you why. I'm a Washington fan.
Bartleby 1,824
The Wizards are sucking. The Kings aren't doing much better. Let's cry together. But really, it's gotten to the point where I seldom watch Kings games anymore. So many new faces, so many holes in the defense, so many bricks you could make a house with them. They're not horrible, but they're definitely not the contenders they were 3 years ago.

I hope so because Stephon Marbury is kickass. Him and his odd-shaped head..
gta_player5 172
yea, the self proclaimed best point guard in the NBA. and his head is abnormally shaped/sized.
station 0
yea, the self proclaimed best point guard in the NBA. and his head is abnormally shaped/sized. Atleast he has a heart. He funded big money to the relief effort after Katrina. He even started crying on stage while giving his speech. Atleast it didn't look fake anyway...
gta_player5 172
i have nothin against him, im a knicks fan, i just think its funny, he says hes the best player in the NBA. hes good but not that good, and yes, he is a good person, i never said he wasnt. anyway... who do we think will take #1 spot in the east? Miami or Detroit? both are hot (right now) and they both have a good team, so...?

Justin scratches his head Probably Detroit because they have the best starting 5..or so they say. Detroit just knows how to win..too much. I hate Tayshaun Prince..and I really don't know why. Scrawny bastard..
gta_player5 172
detroits offense has improved a whole lot with flip saunders, but i think that miami will take first because they have a deeper bench.

Yeah Miami picked up some good free agents this offseason. Antoine Walker just keeps jumping from team to team..
gta_player5 172
yea, boston, dallas, atlant, boston, then miami, in the course of basiaclly 2 seasons, because he was traded to dallas, then to miami both in the offseason. i think that jayson williams is underrated, hes a solid pint gaurd, he gets assists, and he can put up points with consistency, they made some great, and i stress great, moves in the offseason. plugged up holes in the becnh and in player losses. station 0
Antoine Walker used to be a very good player, but now he is just a trading tool. I wish Dallas would trade for Ron Artest or some other really good 2-guard. I don't really like Doug Christie..
gta_player5 172
it was said they were expectin doug christie to retire. he used to be good offensively and hes still ok on defense, but what can you do? he got old. umm, u would want ron artest on your team? good player, but a nutcase, it seems thats a pattern with most good players. barkley, artest, rodman, reggie miller (spike lee incident), and others. Of course, I'd love to have Ron Artest on my team. That big fight when they were playing the Pistons is over and gone. Like I always have said..I'd probably have done the same thing he did. Hell, if Rodman was still playing..I'd want him on my team too. I enjoy nutcases like those guys.
